cosmatika: Dude, Where do you live? Please state exactly where you live in UK. Most big tech jobs that sponsor workers are in London & I am very optimistic that OP job would be in London as well. A proper house self contain is £1000 in London and above excluding any bills. Nobody will give you 2 Bedroom flat in London for £1000, shey you wan thief am? Even with Juju, you no go see am. When you people are talking, please make sure you add accurate details. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Golan007: I get what you're saying but you have to look at it holistically. Even tho the same amount of money will do more for you in Lagos than it would do in London, you have to consider the difference in standard of living and the state of this country. You would find that it would cost almost the same amount of money for someone in Lagos to maintain the same standard of living as an average person in UK. Plus with the rate of recession in this country the value of that 1.5m could be halfed in the next couple years ( assuming he is getting paid in Naira)

Ammishaddai:Shut your stinking mouth! I live in the UK and I pay all the so called taxes you talk about. But I've also got friends and family all around Nigeria and I visit Nigeria ever so often, so I'm not as chronically ignorant as yourself. Nigerians may not pay taxes to the government, but to survive comfortably in Nigeria, you end up still spending on basic amenities just about the same figures people in the UK spend on taxes and bills. In the UK my taxes cover my healthcare, security, roads, access to steady water and electricity, etc. In Nigeria, you have to pay physically for these things and you end up not still getting them efficiently. Do you have a clue how much it cost to run a diesel generator for 12 hours daily in Nigeria? DO you even have a clue how much a unit of electricity cost in Nigeria today? Meanwhile a £4k salary monthly in the UK after tax is equivalent to about £70,000 annually; a person who earns that literally earns more than over 90% of salaried earners in the UK. For you to say that's not a good salary or for you to even attempt to make a comparison between that and N1.5m, I dont even have words to describe your ignorance. 3 Likes 1 Share |

engrrichie92: Honestly I don't know what you're still waiting for if this your story is true. 4000 pounds a month is a lot of money in the UK. You will live very comfortably on that even after taxes. You should accept it and move immediately. |

My advice is what till next year if nothing improves after December, 2023 japa fully. 1,500,000 when dollar is back to 300 is about 5k usd. Nigeria is pretty cheap to live in. |

obailala: @ Ammishaddai Stop saying bills and all that compared to £4k remember his £4k is after tax so he has only few bills to pay which would be less than £150 if he has a car £300. That's all.
