Hello everyone.

Please has anyone processed visitors visa recently. How long did it take? That of my mom's is over 3 weeks and when I called UKVI I was told it now takes 3 - 6 weeks. I had no idea and we already booked her flight.

Its a bit foolhardy to purchase tickets when visa hasn't been granted yet. It could be a dangerous gamble. or you are probably a man/woman of faith. On this occasion, the UKVI is the authentic source of information. And since you have called them, and that's what they said, I guess you could take that to the bank.

I see fatima04 has offered a perspective. Good luck to you, and hoping Mama arrives soon.

Guys with experience please help.

I parked my car in the work place parking lot (forgot to pull the handbrake). And went into the office.
During storm Franklyn, car rolled back and ‘rested’ on a Mercedes Benz E. This broke the Mercedes Benz Logo on the front grill.
I met with Mercedes owner and asked if repairs could be arranged outside of insurance.
Today, I received a quote of £1,052 Which is really plenty (considering the small damage as I perceive it).

Now I am thinking of involving my insurance company. Is this a good idea please?
Will my premium increase massively next year? Will this count as me involved in an accident? I am in year 3 of No Claims. Please is the No claims bonus (after 5 years) usually big? Is it worth it?

Please people Mek Ina No jump and pass. Help a sister.

But I could have sworn your hand breaks were engaged properly, and it was the force of the storm that moved the car

Edit

That grill might house camera or sensors, bumper might need respray, temporary replacement vehicle, conveniency fee all this piles up

Please, how can I get Covid 19 Pass? I got fully vaccinated in Nigeria and I came into the UK two weeks ago.

An agency asked for the Covid Pass. I have NHS number though.

Go for your booster and with that, you will be able to generate your pass.

Na so ooo. I hit one man one day. Small scratch, he refused to do it outside insurance and went to claim thousands in repairs but what pained me was the almost 2 weeks he claimed in car rental because his car was been repaired. Something that was a little scratch. My insurance went from £400 to over 1k sad

Either way e go , once you hit person it go cost you....

Hello!. I have just googled Mercedes Benz logo and they are about £50 brand new so a quote of £1,052 does seem to be extortionate. If it was about £200, I would say go for it.

Is the person aware that you didn’t secure your handbrake? If not, I will go to the insurer and tell them it was a natural disaster, the wind made the car roll backward. (Please don’t judge me cool).
If you go to your insurer, it will definitely affect your premiums going forward. I can’t tell you by how much though. Maybe you should try a renewal quote on a comparison website and see how much they quote you.

You should report to your insurance. Your premium can't increase by up to that. What if he comes back to sue you for Whiplash and lost wages?

have you registered with a GP and gotten your NHS number ? If affirmative, download NHS app , follow the directive on how to get covid pass. They will assign you to a location where they will physically collect your vaccine card and check it. After that, they will now upload the pass into your app. That might take up to 2 weeks after the physical verification of your Naija covid card. I did mine few weeks ago

Good day gbogbo ile oo, please i need advise on alternatives for TV bundle from the usual Sky, BT etc. The renewal price I am seeing is quite high for an existing customer.

Also, is it advisable to use umbrella company or open your own Ltd company if working on a Locum basis?

@ justapasserby I second dupyshoo comment, this is storm Eunice fault, go forth and make a claim but don't state not engaging handbrake or anything. Resist that shalaye

Tell them you are leaving and book with another provider even at the same price, you should start getting calls with cheaper price.

I did the same for Virgin Media, agreed a new deal with Sky. While we waiting for installation day, Virgin Media called to offer better deal. Got M100 Fibre, basic TV and landline for £29.

Use this site to check and compare broadbands in ur area https://www.uswitch.com/broadband/ the strength of the broadband in your area will help make informed decision

If you are good with paper work and administrative duties then you can open ur own limited company to gather paper works for tax purpose. While umbrella company will take care of those.

Also, if you open your own company, it can be used for other contracts or side gigs.

Hi,

Please can anyone recommend any cab/van driver that can drive from Luton to Newcastle? A van is preferred, but I’m open to suggestions.
