There’s right and there’s wrong. Two wrongs don’t make it right. Let him pay his way so as to ease his conscience. It’s better to leave this so called Landlord to karma. “Karma is a bitch”.

The op may not know that subletting council house is illegal

He now knows, but I don’t think he should use it against the landlord yet. They might still be able to work out their differences. No need to burn all his bridges. At the end of the day he wants to live in peace with his family.

My people, please are Mutual Funds profitable in the UK? In Nigeria, my bank blesses me with good profits. However, I’m not sure if it’s a good way to invest in the UK? If yes then what are some good options. Thanks

Good afternoon house and gurus pls a friend just got a job in the UK and today he was sent a mail by the employer that his passport or Visa change has been completed on his behalf.
Can someone explain what it means. Thank you

Did he do biometrics for the new visa category?

Was he issued a new biometric card? If a "visa change" has been done, then he should have received a new biometric card from the home office.

He needs to speak to his employer and obtain further clarity.

Not entirely correct. It’s a function of a lot of functions. The use of Abuja or Lagos or VI is immaterial on how fast.
I really enjoyed your reply. Wanted to say thesame thing but i lacked your type of finesse so i shut up. grin

i wanted an in person test to avoid stories with courier and all. Went for randox next day. Use code britishairways to get 5 pounds off 55.
paid 50. Next day test result emailed to me 14 hrs from the collection time at the facility even though this was a 24-48 hr turnaround.

@dhummystecah what I will say is keep searching for professional roles as much as possible despite rejections, one will click eventually. My spouse came in late december as my dependant( I am the student). She came with lots of experience across different areas it was hard settling for what role she should focus on. We eventually settled on senior business analyst roles (SBA) roles and started applying immediately. She got loads and loads of rejection that she started to get discouraged and question her competence. But I kept urging her own. She wanted to settle for entry level/customer care roles but I insisted on continuation on the path. My people getting that first role for here no easy sha. She got the final stage at 2 of the big 4 and they didnt take her..Several other places, same story... she cry tire. The testimonial posted by @mdeeokoye sometime in mid January was an encouragement. After am million and one rejections, she just accepted a role at a fortune 500 company. On top this waka one has to develop a thick skin and be resilient. E no easy but God go help person
