Hello fam, my lawyer came for verification today but my mum couldn't fill her form and I wasn't allowed to fill for her because according to the lawyer we were supposed to do illetrate jurat for her in the process of the affidavit since she's the deponent or she has to fill for herself which she couldn't coz she can't read and write. Pls do anybody know what would be the report from the embassy? cry

Well I really haven’t gotten to this stage and I really don’t know what form she’s filling and the impact of the form on ur verification process …

But I can advice that u get an affidavit on the illetrate jurat, mail it to the embassy with ur explanation as to y it wasn’t done then wait for their decision …

Or better still call back the lawyer and ask for his advice on what you should do….

You just have to speak out, it’s ur verification and your right, not like u did anything incriminating

But now at this point, dunno if u will need to pay up for another verification process for the signing, depending on your location…..

My own opinion …..

I know of lady during her own visa process she signed for her Dad because they stayed in another state, so when the lawyer came and the Dad filled the form the signature was different she explained to the lawyer that she was the one that signed the affidavit for her Dad. But she gone to Ausland last year

It is not too a big deal. If your mum could only write the name of your spouse and your name, it should be fine. To be on the save side, discuss with the lawyer and ask if everyhing is fine...Best of luck and dont worry much, just discuss with the lawyer

Does anyone think calling the embassy everyday could be counter productive?
My spouse was contacted three weeks ago and up till now no response from them.
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by Nobody: 1:44pm On Mar 09, 2022
Hello Fam. Please I need help here. Thank you.
1. "Affidavit of consent of the parents for the child". Is this supposed to be a written consent letter by the child's parents or the parents go to court to swear/declare it?
2. "Illiterate jurat".  Is this gotten from the court?
3. If ILLITERATE JURAT is declared, does that mean the lawyer will not ask my mum to fill the verification form? Or should I put my cousin on standby to help her fill the form?
4. My mum lives in kogi state but will be coming to Abuja for checkups. Can she do the court affidavits in Abuja or she MUST do it in kogi state?

Let your spouse contact the office that contacted him 3 weeks ago. Some cities take longer than usual.

Please did lawyers visit anyone since November 2021 and they're yet to receive a verification complete mail atleast? I tried to call the lawyer that did mine to know if there's any issues from his end and he was so rude for no reason omg. My spouse has written and called so many times yet no concrete response or reason for the delay. The silent wait is so frustrating.

Your spouse will write a consent letter permitting the child to come and join him which he will mail to you and you will print out and take along with to your appointment
Note : you will also write your own consent letter with signature permitting the child to go and meet with the father in Germany

1. All affidavit is obtained from court, so you must go to court to get it
2. This is normally obtained from court
3. Yes, the lawyer will interpret the question to them and expect them to respond, while he write there response on the letter
4. She can do affidavit any where in Nigeria

Good Evening NL,

Please I wish to make an important inquiry from those who have gone to the embassy for their Interviews and from those who have travelled to Germany from Nigeria since this Corona pandemic.

Did you have sign documents compelling you to get Corona vaccination in order to enter Germany?

For those who flew into Germany in the last few months, were you all vaccinated and showed your vaccination cards at the German border?

Lastly has anyone who isn't vaccinated in Nigeria travelled to Germany with just a PCR Test?

What has been your experiences in this regard?
Thanks.

My first journey was in 2020 at the tick of Covid. Yes you require PCR test.

You do not need vaccination card at POE, your pcr test result is sufficient. Ensure a valid PCR from a recognised lab or hospital

No, i did not sign any document compelling me to be vaccinated.

I came in 3 weeks ago. I was already vaccinated in Nigeria, taken the two shots.

I did a PCR test in nigeria 24 hours before departure which was checked before i could board my flight. (some people claim that with just vaccination proof, you can fly without having to provide a negative PCR test, i know someone that flew Qatar airlines to the UK that was fully vaccinated amd she didn't have to do a test before flying. I didn't want any delay/embarassment since i was using a different airline so i just did the test).

When i landed at Frankfurt, the only thing the border police asked asides my passport was my proof of vaccination. (The card was what i gave them)

When i got to my spouse's city registeration office, i was asked to provide my proof of vaccination before i could be attended to.

Unfortunately, the QR code on the Nigerian verification website was faulty and couldn't be verified, even though i had the card with me, they didn't let me into their office. So i had to go do a PCR test (the result out in 15mins) to be attended to that day...

I was willing to take the vaccination all over again but when i got to the vaccination centre in the city, I explained that i was already vaccinated but verifying it online had issues. So they told me to just take the booster shot alone instead.

I ended up taking the booster shot which then made me have an EU proof of vaccination and QR code.

I have been asked for my vaccination proof in the train, at some shopping malls, before i could sit in a restaurant, at my language school etc.

I don't know if a negative PCR test will be enough for you to come in at the border, but i know that a lot of places/people will ask you for it as you go about your daily activities.

So except you are willing to keep doing tests that shows you are negative every 24 hours, its better you get vaccinated.

If you still have time, do it in Nigeria. If not, do it as soon as you come in (hopefully, the negative PCR test will be sufficient to let you in at the airport border).

Abuja is better. Also just a suggestion since you are getting an illiterate court jurat for your mum then she shouldn't sign the affidavit but use thumb print to be on a safe side bcus since she is your deponent of affidavit the lawyer will ask her to sign few forms and if the signature in the affidavit is different from the one the lawyer collected during your verification, embassy will request you to submit another affidavit of spinsterhood after your verification is completed.
Concerning your mum filling the form it depends on the lawyer that is sent to you, some lawyer may allow your cousin fill it why your mum sign expecially if they are in a hurry while others will ask your mum the questions in the form and fill in the answer she provided

I am not sure where you can find a list. But i will ask you to start from your state hospital. In my state, it was some primary health care centers that were used. So you could check too.

A google search might help. Or ask around from people who have taken the vaccine.

I took Moderna.

Finally the Lord has done IT!!!
German passport/Visa Approval Update!!

Applied for family reunion visa 2nd Dec 2019.
Appointment mail 21st Dec 2020
Appointment with my 1st son 14th Jan 2021.
March 24th 2021 email came from them saying I should submit a Signed and completely filled out questionnaire for the document verification. (Reasons d submitted once was not properly filled and I forgot 2 sign) I submitted it and aft dat i started waiting for lawyer 2 call, it never happened. I got tired of waiting so on d 9th of June 2021 I hunt for my lawyer myself and i found him d nxt day, I called him and we fixed a date, he showed up 14th of June.
21st of June 2021 my spouse was contacted and asked to submit some documents.
Aug 11th 2021 verification mail drop and I was also asked 2 submit A1, all dis while i was thinking cuz my spouse is a German i will have examption from d A1, by dis time i was heavily pregnant so I can't even go to Lagos for d exam. My spouse called Ausländerbehörde and talk and talk, finally they asked him to appeal, which we did with supporting documents, I wrote A1 Nov 2019 i got 52points then I came bk 2 my base started another language school finished from there wrote d school exam and scored 62, we submitted d two results and my registration form.
I was praying and trusting God for d wave and booom they waved it. Ausländerbehörde informed my spouse on the 23rd of Aug 2021 dat it has bin waved and our visa has bin approved.
Me, i immediately sent our passport & 3 months traveling insurance 2 d consulate without dem asking, they collected it and kept it for me, LoL.
28th August 2021 I put to bed all my fear of starting a new process for my new child.
I never knew God will break protocol for me.
29th Aug i informed them that I just put 2 bed.
31st Aug they asked me to submit a readable scan copy of my son's birth certificate.
10th Sep i got another mail asking me to submit d original certificate I did, then we started feeling that, they might invite us to Lagos for d new baby's interview so my spouse quickly sent them a long email stating dat I can't travel 2 Lagos.
7th Oct 2021 I got an email saying they have applied for German passport for my kids in German Embassy Abuja. (Best news!!! no lawyer came 4 my new baby and no additional verification fee was asked)
I wrote Abuja they replied immediately and requested that my spouse go to Jugendamt or standarmt for acknowledgement of paternity for our 1st child (reason for this was bcuz I had my first son in May and our court marriage was in July) .So he went to standesamt in Germany and did it, they sent it out 13th Oct 2021 through Deutsche post and it got to our own Nipost, till today Nipost has nt delivered it 2 d embassy. my spouse got tired, went back to standesamt 1st Dec 2021 got another copy and paid for DHL .
6th Dec 2021 Embassy got it and wrote me that same day to send my passport and marriage certificate via email.
7th Dec 2021 I got an email stating things I need 2 bring and fees to pay for the German passport and as soon as I get everything ready I shd send them an email so an appointment can be fix.
That same day I told dem I was ready immediately an appointment was fix for 13th Dec 2021.
13.12.21 I notarize my declaration of consent at the Embassy & also submitted my children's passport application,
I applied for children's passport (Kinderreisepass) cuz it's Faster and they are below 13. It will be issued within 5 days.
I told Abuja ppl to plz inform Lagos, I also wrote them an email myself.
17th Dec 2021 I pick my children's German passport at the Abuja Embassy and I was told that my visa officer in Lagos went on leave Choi all my plans of dirty December in Deutschland crumbled. Lol
I started calling and sending German consulate mail everyday same story Madam b patient we are at the final Stage
31st January 2022 I received an email saying they are currently waiting for final response from foreign office in Germany, I was shock cuz that was done in August 2021. So my spouse called Ausländerbehörde and asked why, he was told dat it's over 5 months they work on my visa and it's a long time, so they want to know if he still has his work and if he can take care of us financially so he was asked to submit his 3 months pay slip which he did that same day.
28th February 2022 I got Approval mail
7th March I got my visa and documents back.
Arrived Germany 10th March 2022.
This whole process took 2 years, 3 months & 5 days.
God is Indeed too Faithful to Fail !!!
