That is where they are generally held in confinement and away from the gen pop.
Elsewhere prisoners do a lot of stuff, study for degrees, paint, write books, whatever.

I understand however, it doesn't change the fact that it's grossly insensitive. While she might not be guilty of first degree murder cos the court is yet to determine that, she is an accomplice to crime. She even stole the man's ATM card thereafter and stole his money. In saner climes, accomplice to murder carries the same weight if not more. When the crime was being committed, none of them them thought of the man's fundamental human rights. They killed him eventually anyway. That has a ripple effect to so many lives and showcasing her in this light inspires others that if you play your cards well, you might just be celebrated and enjoy yourself if you eventually found guilty and convicted if not sentenced to death. Under that circumstances, there is no justice and where there is no justice, there can never be peace.
