The Soviet Union invaded same Afghanistan, they spent 10 years fighting the Mujahedin and they are not only lost to the Mujahedin in Afghanistan, but their foolish adventure also bankrupt the Soviet Union and the Soviet Union collapsed, this is the reason why we have countries like Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and other former Soviet republics, they are now NATO members.
