The only way Nigerian educational system can improve is when we start having teachers who teach for the love of passing knowledge and this holds for all grades and level of educational institution, both from the primary to university level. These sets of lecturers we have now are so greedy that they can do anything to make money, even going as far as compromising their integrity and stooping so low as to collect bribes from student to pass them. I do not trust their motive as i have seen Prof Oorimogunje and Prof Ogunkoya of OAU Geography dept gone on to have very fulfilling careers and these two Profs you can tell are into it for the love of it. Since the advent of yahoo boys with cars on campus these lecturers have taken to persistent strike actions in a bid to force government to meet their demands and i can't help but wonder if they are trying to compete with these yahoo boys? If these lecturers think at all, they will know the country is in shambles right now economically and government meeting their demands at once will further plunge the country into untold hardship with the current increment in nearly all commodities by greedy Nigerians. ASUU should just call of it's strike action and dialogue with federal gov't as they can't bully Buhari into meeting their senseless demands. Before you criticize me go to any institution seek out 10 lecturers and ask them how they truly feel about the strike and you will find out at least 1 doesn't support the strike because they miss teaching. The students are the ones affected here not Federal Government.
Guy please your baise mind stinks to the high heaven... Which politician is running for office for free? The Government should pay Dem their dues... Leave all dis story .. abi the prophesors for abroad Dem no dey pay Dem?

We saw how another African nation spent less on the railway project and what they have surpasses whatever Nigeria is bragging about. This government places no priority on what will affect the masses positively and directly. Health sector, education and power are all lacking because we have leaders with no foresight.

They blamed the previous government whereas the previous ones invested in power and the health sector. I remember back then most Federal Teaching hospitals were equipped with new facilities.

This present government only knows how to loot and at the same time borrow so much money.

You write-up would have looked like you made a lot of research. However, it is obvious you made none. If a Prof. is receiving less than 450 gross salary, not even net o, what do we call that? You think the students are the ones suffering it? Their suffering hasn't started yet o, because if ASUU doesn't prevail, you'll see how school fees will increase. Maybe that's when you'll know that ASUU is not only fighting for it's members but students too.

The dullarrd government focused more In using money for misplaced priority. Imagine it was bandits that closed all the universities and demand times two of what ASUU is demanding, this useless government would've pay and begged them too .

Nigeria is the only country with the most cursed and foolish leaders.

Very true, they will pay sharply, not even X 2, but X 4 and still say "Thank you" to the bandits.

What else do you expect from a man who borrows money in Nigeria's name and uses part of it to build railway to Niger Republic because his "First cousins" are there. He neglects the thriving business hubs within the SW/SS/SE, he neglects education, yet keeps holding graduation parties for his so-called "repentant" BH members with tax payers' money, whilst the children of the legit tax payers are sitting at home due to ASUU strike. If they are truly repentant, let them tell us where Leah Sharibu is.

Whoever nicknamed this country a "zoo", deserves an award.

Ministry of education should regulate and oversee their activities.

One bitter truth in this country is that any person or institution that is fighting the government is always right in the eyes of Nigerians.

Even the claim by ASUU that FG neglect their demands to construct a railway simply shows that the union want everything to themselves at the expense of country growth and development.

I hate ASUU with passion

then going by what you have just said that also implies that our political system can only improve if we have leaders who contest elections solely for the love of his people at heart and not for selfish interests. If that were possible we will not find ourselves most of the problems you listed and probably you won’t be here saying all of this.

You are very inconsiderate and mean by your assertion. Even those in the grave can see how the governments killed education. They either own private universities or their children are studying abroad. Even Ghana's education system floors Nigeria's like a carpet.
