If you want to screw up news in Nigeria for a day it's simple to do, just be the first to release it and intentionally mess up the headline... All the other websites, media and enws agencies will copy it with the error ... Not one will correct it .. grin
Private soldier is the least rank in NA.

Before joining any organization it's imperative you know the dos and don'ts.

Ignorance is no excuse to crime just like they say......But I would have preferred another kinda punishment instead of dismissal. This soldier might constitute nuisance to society later. Even if he was given some strokes of koboko it's better.

You were born into the military, yet you don't know what impersonation in the military is?

Did he by any chance identify himself as a colonel?

Lemme hint you, you can only be guilty of impersonation when you try or attemp to portray yourself as what you are not.

Posing on a seat that is not your designated seat is simply indiscipline especially if the seat is for your superior.
Chief u just lost de argument by ursef.
Sitting on a colonel seat, taking picture, is then impersonation base on ur definition.

Can u seat on oba or emir seat and take picture?

Noted. Thanks for the clarification. I don't know how the military operates anyway but are you saying it's not possible for him to further in terms of academics leading to him becoming a commissioned soldier? I'm just asking.
You're welcome sir... lol for him to have the rank of a private forget am his brain is dead and that aside the issue of being enlisted to being a commissioned officer is tight and too competitive. and for the education stuff, it depends on his commander and the commanders we have at the theatre of command are beast in human skin. he might even be locked up for bring up the topic about going back to school or have his plea thrown into the thrash can. folks that are always lucky are non commissioned officer that are just there by condition I'm talking bout people that are very brilliant and intelligent but cus they were not lucky to be enlisted as officers had to just settle to become soldiers

Yup. You don't know what's wrong with it. And no, you don't have to be in the Armed Forces to know that a Private is NOT an officer

Report had it that they held a police station hostage and shots at them were failing and 2. during training you're to observe ur enemies modul operandi bfr taking decision and that's why they had to take cover first 3. A call to the barracks for backup would be useless if an Officer did not give you command to engage the hoodlums. most times they can only reach out to the MWO in which he has to take the report to the chain of command for order Bfr he can issue firearms to Boys to goan engage the Armed robbers and I doubt his report would be approved cuz the duty of soldiers is not to engage thieves n robbers

I saw how y'all are laughing at them and I can't just help but shake my head cuz y'all don't know how these things work

So you're giving this mountain of excuses all because the robbers were armed. That it.

Or you want robbers to write an essay before engaging them?

If they were unarmed and attacking the soldiers the story would be different, they will not even need to be asking for permission they will deal with them on the spot.

If it were protesters with cardboard signs they will shoot at them and into the air.

But because they are armed the soldiers are hiding in fear.

This is why I say we overrate the army.

This is why I will keep laughing at them. grin
