Get your fact right.

Any test for travelling purposes which requires your passport information on the test results cost money, even here in Europe.

A PCR test cost about 75-100 Euro in Germany for travelling purposes.

And a rapid test skits around 2.75 euro per stick

While the Schenell test (Rapid) is free across all test centers in the city. But immediately you test positive with the rapid test, additional test is required which is the PCR test and you would get a bill to pay for it which your health insurance do not cover.

While I can comfortable tell you PCR nor rapid test not for travelling purposes in Nigeria are free, as well as the treatment, isolation centers etc.

I had covid in Europe some time around June 2021.

I have a valid health insurance where I paid 79 euro monthly.
But mehn the reality of the treatment of this virus in so called developed countries is nothing to write home about.

I was left alone, no medic, no treatment, no thing, was dieing, but does guys no send.. Thank you for a nairalander here far a from my city, who put a call for ambulance for me, even though I regret it later, but it was waste of money and total rubbish
I would have just say stay at home my thing jeje.

I developed complications one certain night, I had to call an ambulance with a help of a fellow here. and the return me back home the next few hours.

But after the following week, I got the following bills to pay

450 euro for the ambulance to the hospital
403 euro for the ambulance to my home
272 for the doctor in the ambulance
170 euro for the drip added to me.

And blantly the health insurance company ask me to foot the bill myself, it doesn't cover.. Am on my own.

Most people our Africans would pay for this test in Europe without questioning it, but when it comes to our countries just to protect us from this virus, we shout and calls all sort of names, while most folks come in with fake test results.

It's great the NCDC have made the permit travel compulsory for arriving passengers to Nigeria and its strict for a follow up test.

There are some certain things we won't know it's free in Nigeria and Nigeria is damn sweet no matter how hard life it, until we were out of the shore.
But many folks won't talk about it becos of the inferiority complex. While many are in the abroad, suffering and smiling.

GOD BLESS NAIJA

The test they did at the airport is rapid test and it has been covered by AFCON organizers or the Govt even though it is far cheaper than PCR test. If you are sick and need to do PCR test in Nigeria it remains free, Govt has paid for it. But for international trravel purpose, you have to pay by yourself which is same thing everywhere, international traveling is a luxury and not a public health service that needs to be funded by government. If you ever enter a PCR lab and see what it takes to produce one result, all reagents, PPE, machines are expensive.

This attitude is because most Nigerians feel that the collected money will end up in someone's pocket and wouldn't amount to any form of collective good to the citizenry.

Unlike when they travel out and SEE with their EYES all what (infrastructures) the expensive charges have gone into, they are more than willing to pay without question.

The only thing our politicians succeed in at the time they leave office is that they have become stupendously wealthy and Richer than the way they came in AND the people have become worse off

Nope, it's not because of afcon, COVID-19 test has been free in some African countries, free in Cameroon, 15k naira equivalent in Gambia, Malawi it's free for thier nationals, while foreigners pay $100..... travel & see for your self...!

It must have been the rapid covid 19 test which comes within 10 minutes. The 50k test done here is the PCR which is more expensive. The reagent for running PCR is expensive and done in the lab

Even the PCR test I did in Dubai on arrival was free

Whose more wicked CMR or NGR ?

Well when you know that the que tip of the test could be used to administer toxins and nano-particles, CMR may be more wicked.

Reject the vaxcine; reject the tests.

Reality is both are wicked as is the entire world running this wicked narrative.

What you did was not a PCR test, rather a rapid test brother.

A PCR test results can never be out within 5hrs not to talk of 20min.

It was a rapid test you did man.

Wahala cheesy cheesy

My brother, I can differentiate both...I have done rapid tests close to 60 times... at the pharmacy I mentioned because of the QR code to show in intra City transit and work, and at home (as I have few Rapid test kits at home).

Now so that you know, PCR is the one that the swap reaches the wall that connects the airways, that is, the throat region. grin So years I know them apart.

You got me wrong, I mentioned I was there for roughly 30 minutes; 10 on the main queue, 20 on the new queue after we were made to book an appointment on the spot. Of course, I only got the results over an hour later.

My brother, I know what I am saying. grin The fact that you paid for everyone you've done doesn't mean I paid for mine. grin

In the US, the test is free whether you have insurance or not..
But most countries do charge even more than Nigeria.
More countries are exploiting their people with these covid tests and other covid related issues way more than most Nigerians are paying.
The US govt made me pay 2200 dollars just for a one way ticket from Lagos to Washington DC on Ethiopian airlines in 2020. I had to pay upfront. Even though my final destination is not DC.
The Nigerian govt on the other hand was bringing Nigerians back home for way less . And most Nigerians were saying then that all countries were evacuating their people for free. Total lie. The UK was even worse.

PCR is now $350 while Rapid is free.

2. Also Nigeria tests are handled by private companies not the FG;

Just go for your first dose, may be they would explain better for you.

And sure even the card might not be more than 200.
