Hello Fam,

Good morning.

Please I’ll like to confirm a few details.

If one’s sponsor is in the US, how would I go about getting affidavit of sponsorship.
Should it be done in the us and sent to me from my sponsor or I can do it at the notary public office here in Lagos.

Don't go for $17k school if you know you have not up to $27k. There are schools with tuition as low as $9k.

Omnisavage:
Please house, good evening.
I am a newbie here and I will appreciate if anyone can answer some of my questions.

So, I got an acceptance letter from a college in Ontario, the first year tuition is about 17k CAD, then plus the 10k CAD living expenses, my total proof of funds should be 27k CAD.

The issue is that as I type this, I only have 20k CAD, I plan on sponsoring myself, and I want to apply for visa latest by May 1 as my resumption date is September 2022. So my question goes thus:
i) do you think it is safe to only show 20K proof of funds and then explain in my letter how I plan to get the remaining money later?
ii) is it advisable for me to find someone that can send me the 7K CAD that is left as a lump sum? I heard the officers have an issue with lump sums when you submit your bank statement.
iii) if I decide on using a sponsor(my father's brother) to show the remaining 7k CAD, are there any things that must be considered?, for instance, he must have at least double that in his account, the money must not have arrived as a lump sum in his account too, or the 7k CAD must have spent at least 4 to 6 months in his account balance etc etc.

Please I appreciate anyone that can help me with this info, thank you.

I learnt Ethiopian Airline is okay and cheap and i personally notice it is common, but presently it is 513k oO.

I stumbled upon Egypt air, 315k naira, please those experienced, is it okay?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by CentennialGuy: 6:35am On Mar 31, 2022
They are all good colleges. You can use their fees as basis for comparison. But a note on Centennial College - if you are going for a two years course and a full Summer break is important to you, then maybe consider other colleges. Most, if not all, of Centennial's two-year courses are completed in 16 months straight with no summer break in between. They operate a continuous program offer model.
I don't know if this obtains in the other colleges you listed, so you might have to look out for that.

Ethiopia Airlines is not bad. I have flown with them many times in the last 5 years. And if travelling to Canada it is the most direct route option with short connecting time. You can check Lufthansa too.

Be careful with United Airlines, unless you have a U.S. visitor or transit visa. You cannot connect/transit through the U.S. to another country without a transit or visitor visa.

Quick tip when searching for flight...the more you or people search a particular flight option the airline knows from their backend data that people are planning to travel to these destinations and they start to increase their flight fare. Best thing to do is to always clear your browser cache/history and all cookies, as that is what they use to track your search activities on their websites. It's all about data and web search analytics.

Peace and safe journey.

Good day everyone, I submitted my application to the IRCC in August last year, I just got an message from the IRCC requesting an updated letter of acceptance.
I took a course last year, I wasn't able to write the course because I was yet to hear from IRCC, My school is currently saying they can't give me a new letter because I do not qualify anymore for the course,
They are asking me to transfer to another department which might contradict my S.O.P, should I transfer to another department or should I get another DLI that offers the same course and send the letter of acceptance to the IRCC with a convincing SOP, please advise me

I used Egyptair 5years ago and it was okay for me. Don't know why people don't like using them. Except for the long lay over which they even provided an hotel at no cost ooo. .. you can check for current reviews. I used ethopia in Dec, not bad too but long flight. Took me 2days to get to Vancouver. I personally do not like BA though. Others are good but plenty money. So try Egyptair
