Nothing to balance there as it's organic chemistry....go and carry by the examples given in the class and use it to do that assignment

Simple, get the empirical formula and convert it back after balancing

Oga the "reactants" are so wrong.....Who gave u this type of equation The CO2 is meant to be on the product side. And it is wrong to have both Hydrocarbons on same side except u are carrying out a reforming process....This is not a chemical equation sir

The questions are wrong, or maybe u didn't right it correctly. Carbon dioxide can't react with hydrocarbons unless oxygen molecules. E.g 2C2H6 +5O2 -2CO2+6H2O

If only you know the price of chemical in the market, you won’t think of balancing at all

How can an Alkane react with an Alkane and carbon dioxide ?
Alkanes undergo substitutional reactions only, where would oxygen fix itself when there is no double bonds ??
Also, I noticed that the numerators in the fractions are sequencial which implies that the poster fabricated this reaction.

I perceive youthful exuberance.
It doesn't make sense... Without even stating the condition of the reactions.

These are very lame questions. Hydrocarbons (CxHy) are chemically inert to carbon dioxide - CO2 hence CO2 present in the air does not react with candles or gasoline or cooking gas. The questions are chemically wrong.

One thing is certain, you are not a chemist and your teacher or lecturer is not one as well. How do you expect carbon (IV) to react with propane and butane? Those are similar compounds and in 3million years they will never react. Secondly, what you have there are not equations cos you only have 'reactants' and no product. Thirdly, since you don't have products, where did you and your tutor got the coefficients in front of those 'reactants'. Finally, if truly those 'things' were given to you as assignment, I suspect you are a 'bad child' and your tutor just want to keep you busy just like hanging a tied bone on a dog's neck. The dog can't eat the bone and can't throw it away.
