Here is my plan, i made use of bank statement for my i -20 so that i things can be easy at least at the embassy but my plan is to get USA and make use of Mpower loan for my school fees and accommodation. so my question is

1) Can i update my I-20 immediately after i get VISA even before getting on the plane to the USA so i can use it for my accommodation and fee.

2) When is it advisable to use the Mpower loan as i already have my final approval letter.

The loan would be disbursed to your school when you register for courses. No need updating i-20 since you already have approval letter from Mpower.

I've read a lot of rejections at the visa interview due to being unemployed and not having enough reason to come back to Nigeria. Actually my dad has a family business which he has been running for years. I do work there sometimes. We actually work with a lot of big companies in lagos. I'm thinking if filling out that I'm employed in my family's company in my DS form and also presenting my Company's ID card at the interview just in case.. this will proof that I'm employed and I have enough reason to come home and manage the family business along with my dad.

Is this a good idea ?

You have to make sure your makes sense, they can ask you if your plan is to come back and manage your Dad's company then why do you need a master's degree in "physiology"(for example), unless your course is related to your dad's business then maybe the master's will be an aim to gain better knowledge in the field, else the story might not fly

So look at it this way, the account fund is what the owner use to pay workers and grow the business, why should that also be used to fund your program that will only decrease whatever amount it's in it without adding back. So let's the business owner use his personal account

I am trying to apply to Ball State and they are asking for unofficial NACES member transcript evaluation before my application is reviewed which is actually annoying because all the other schools I applied to accepted my unofficial university transcript and asked for official transcript after admission was granted.

Now I have to pay about $200 for a school I am not sure I would end up attending. I am considering this school because of the chance of receiving an assistantship but I am just reconsidering now.

Any thoughts please?

I'm still looking for about $40,000 and don't know what to do. Prodigy has stopped giving loans to African students.

If you have done all these and you still have deficit of $40k left, I'd suggest you apply to another school because the tuition you are paying is too much. You can check Leigh University, Carnegie Mellon and Suffolk University. They give funding for MBA if you submit all required documents and exams.

The M visa type is for vocational courses. If there are some computer science branch that falls under this, you can go for it. However read about the cons and pros. F1 visa on the other hand can also be used to study computer science complete 4 yrs programs.

To be sincere I didn't even know how I answered all these but I knew i did.I was so nervous ehn,infact I suffer from Anxiety. So it was hard for me seeing that no one else was approved among all the people inside the room with me untill my turn.And were asked literally the same questions,so even before it got to me,I already knew what to expect.


Joining Nairaland and many groups after this denial made me realize that CONFIDENCE and making EYE CONTACT while talking is very important.
I realised also that i didn't give a detailed answer atall especially my work.What I do as an Analyst and how long I have worked .I also realised that it's important to carry VO along by the way you link your answers .

Again in my future plans,I was suppose to say that I'm coming back to my place of work for a higher position first and probably relate how getting degree in masters in Chemistry would help me for the new work and maybe link it with my research interest
Then if I'm opportuned to speak more,I can now tell the Vo my longterm plan of Operating my own Standard Laboratory and how getting masters would help to achieve that.

For me, I think a business/company account statement attached with a[b] bank letter of confirmation of the account signatory(ies) [/b] ((signatories could be director(s) and/or accountant(s)), and the signatory(ies) would sign the Financial Support Forms or affidavit as the case may be. My Opinion though!!! But if you still have any reservation or contrary opinion or experience, you may share... I am very willing to learn.
