Somebody that would have been at home by now due to ASUU strike, if Tinubu didn't make him a commissioner back in 2003.

Let's see if the first law of power would still hold. "Never outshine your master"

Osibanjo is just a vice but really don't know what is happening in his party.
APC has concluded that power is going to the south and any westerner buying nomination form is only adding to the party purse. The Biafra Agitation has made the north zone the next president to south so that qualified candidates from the East can take advantage. That is why the permutation is Chibuike Amaechi Rotimi. If you understand, you understand.

Who are the APC that concluded? Just open mouth and be saying nonsense. Most of you need brain examination

To start with, I am wondering why politicians deploy the tactics of a coach sometimes where you will wait on the opponent's coach to make a substitution before making yours just to know what next to do.

However, I am hopeful that Osinbajo is taking his time to make the correct decision. It appears he doesn't want to be left in the mix.

Perhaps, the rumour between Osinbajo and Amaechi might be real- finding each other a threatening opponents considering they are both close to Buhari.

Also, in saner climes, if you have spent 7 years as a VP in a failed administration, you might just be booed of you want to contest as the president. However, it's different here!

It appears Osinbajo' fan base keeps increasing and this might lend credence to the fact that he is indeed a good and perspicacious leader we need.

Then I ask the question, which is the problem of this country, the POSITION or INDIVIDUAL?

Very objective analysis. Are you new here? You are entirely different from all these bigots spamming the platform day in day out

I like your write-up mate but about VP's intention to run for the No1 seat, he won't make a good President. Nigerians are just obsessed with the title"Prof" period! He won't do better than the boss, as President tbh

What makes you say so. I have worked with many bosses am better of. When they take my advice they succeed but when they do it their own way they fail.

Some people are naturally endowed with supernatural power of leadership, the interface Osinbajo had with Niger Delta put a stop to those crazy vandalisation. Besides he's underdog, even an enemy would be lenient with such person.

His Herculean task is winning primary, once that is done, the coast will be clear.

The obsession with osinbajo stems from a number of factors 1) he is a "Prof" like you said 2) he speaks well and has a quiet distinguished intellectual demeanour 3) the Redeemed/religious supporters. But we are not looking for a teacher, a motivational speaker or a religious leader. We are seeking a president that can lead a country and address the important challenges of the country which at the moment are most importantly economy and security. What track record does he bring to these issues? he is part of this government under which security has detiorated like never before and he is in charge of the economy that has been a disaster under his watch including the lowest GDP groth since the return to democracy. Osinbaj's signature economic legacy is tradermoni...think about that for a second tradermoni a scheme of less than 10b deployed to win elections is all osinbajo has to show for heading the economic team of the country and this is the man some want to lead the country because he is a christian professor who speaks well? We are our own problems. the oyinbo that brought this democracy has an electorate that are relatively enlightened, ours are tribal and religious and dont think right. In the land of the oyinbo man that brought this democracy, there is the saying coined by Reagan "it's the economy stupid" which means elections are won based on the economy, you cannot be part of a government under a poorly performing economy or be the architect of a poorly performing economy and expect to be reelected!

This is our problem, we elect leaders based on the wrong criteria and wonder why we are going backwards not forwards!!! Nigerians do not engage their brains when it comes to selecting leaders, this is the problem with democracy, you are always hostage to the intellect/reasoning of the masses. if it is poor you get bad leaders, if it is high it produces good leaders. it is bad enough that the masses
uneducated, unenlightened and poor. The minority educated are obsessed with tribal, religious and fanboy considerations without even examining the credentials of these aspirants. This is even aside the fact that we the so called educated are not even part of the process that produce the candidates, it's the poor, uneducated masses (touts, Nurtw, market women etc) that are the card carrying party members who are the delegates that decide who becomes the candidates that we the so called educated will vote for based on the warped criteria I listed previously.

The situation in Nigeria defies sound reasoning.

For me , it translates into how we make choices.

Could it be we are special breed of humans?

Because if we think differently from other people around the world and that translates in producing things that works ,I am sure people will marvel at level of creativity and will be keen to learn from us.

Or
Maybe we have highest concentration of people with the lowest IQ.Though some research points to the fact that Blacks have the lowest IQ and Nigeria being the largest population of blacks means we have a problem.

I didn't bother to read your emotional epistle to the end, as you are making it a contest between two opponent.

Again I hate the religious string you are trying to pull claiming people want to vote him because he is oratory. Was that the reason why Buhari too was voted in.

Drop that your sentiment and save it for your opponent in PDP. It is simply foolish and political suicide to disparage your party and region candidate in such manner

The highlights are points an opponent would use to nail APC and not necessarily for Osinbajo, so, why destroying your party because you want to promote Tinubu?

You have just highlighted my point, many of you are not engaging your brains but support candidates based on ethnic, religious or other primordial sentiments, not as a result of any critical evaluation of the records of the candidates and whether they are suitable for the role. I am neither a PDP supporter nor an APC supporter so unlike you I can be objective.

Your previous posts show you prefer Ameachi from APC and I put it forward to you why must you pull down the party's platform where Amaechi would contest simply because you want to get at Osinbajo?. That doesn't sound intelligent to me but I will overlook it since you claim not to be an active politician but remove the religion regalia you are adorning Osinbajo

You are coming across as not very bright. It always happens to people who think in terms of religion tribe, party etc. they can no longer function as objective critical thinkers.

The fact That I support Amaechi does not mean I am an APC supporter, Amaechi is a performer full stop, he is not a tribal or religious candidate same with Tinubu. I am not as excited with Tinubu but I beleive 1) he has worked for it and 2 he is the 2nd best of the lot and he is a good leader. the presidency is about performance and leadership...osinbajo has no track record of either!!! I would easily have voted for Atiku if he wasnt in PDP in fact the reason i didnt vote in 2015 is because Buhari got the ticket not Atiku. I can only vote for who the parties present or comment on likely contenders. Atiku is a better choice than Osinbajo, I didnt vote for Buhari in 2015 or 2019 and I didnt vote for GEJ or Atiku either.

I Cannot stand PDP because there are only a handful of credible people left there not that APC are saints but please get it out of your head, I am not an APC supporter either. that I am likely to vote for APC (only If tinubu or Amaechi or Elrufai emerge) is not because I am an APC supporter but because they are likely to present better candidates. I have no loyalty to APC, if you are shit I will call you shit!!!

Come hell or high water I will not vote for osinbajo, I will rather stay at home like 2015 and 2019. I do not think he has a track record or deserves it and As I have said many times I do not believe in treachery or religious bigots even though I am a christian myself!!!
