I had already dropped my opinion.The UK visit visa was submitted by your agent (a 3rd party) with misrepresentation.You can claim you were unaware of this although you should.

You need to come out clean, fill single as your status and write a strong cover letter to clear the issues and hope for a good outcome.This could go either way and whatever the outcome is well you have to deal with it.

If you fill your ATAS (yourself) with the same information, you are solidifying this deception.

What happens in future when you want to get married? UK or Nigeria? Do you know they can verify divorce certificates? UK and Nigeria as well

Again, the responsibility is on you to have checked what the agent filled and refuse that document so pray the consequences are not severe.

But it is better to sort this issue now than in future

I know someone personally who’s agent filled out married when he was leaving Nigeria for America, when he was about to get his green card, the marriage issue popped up and he told them he is single and he was unaware what his agent filled. Trust immigration to do their investigations and truly they found out he was single and his application was filled by an agent. He got his green card sharp sharp.
Another was rejected because he did a fake divorce papers.

The question is who are you divorcing? Immigrations are smart and what ever divorce document you present would be investigated to the last. So do not compile lies upon lies that would certainly hurt you in the future. It’s best you clear the air and move forward

During the time for my biometrics last year, I noticed that my agent included a marriage certificate ( which I didn't ask him to include). Now,I have gained admission to study in the UK and I want to apply for my ATAS certificate... They demand for my spouses information for the application.. My question now is ' SHOULD I MAINTAIN THAT I AM MARRIED AS THE AGENT HAS SAID IN MY APPLICATION LAST YEAR OR SHOULD I SAY I AM SINGLE'? would this pose any threat to my study visa application?... Pls I need your help guys.. Thank you

During the biometrics when you noticed he added a marriage cert you didnt ask him to include, why didnt you tackle the issue immediately with a letter?
When filling the form online, did the agent select filling as third party on behalf of you? Or filling as applicant? If it was as third party, you may have some hope but something tells me that you are well aware of this scheme

He is not married , it's better he does the devious now rather than later, haven't you to ikoyo registry where people do scam marriage all for the sake of travelling , who have found them out

If the Marriage certificate is genuine from the onset which i am sure it is, because he must have been verified by UKVI then he can go through divorce legally,who he divorce his is own headache not that of the ECO.
The fact it's even a sham marriage will make the process easier,there will be no one to serve a paper,no feet dragging

Accommodation is a big deal in the UK right now.
It would suit you to make reservation for hostel accommodation or better, hustle for 4months rent before you leave the shores of Nigeria.

Yes, you have an edge, although you still have to hustle for it.
Most people travelled with the mindset of paying for one month rent but the reality is that many landlords are asking for more especially, when they found out you're a student.
Except you have someone over there who could do the runs ( with his criminal background check & statement of account), heed to my advice.

If you're single its easier to get accomodation. With four months rent youre safe to an extent, most properties ask for deposit which isnt part of your rent(held and returned when you exit the property if no damage is done
In most cases, one month equivalent of your rent as deposit and then one month rent in advance. Try spareroom and openrent as youre most likely to be dealing with the direct person renting
