Please when does a share price get marked down, is it after qualification date or payment date?
Its a trading day immediately after the Qualification Date.
For instance, FIDELITY, OKOMU and TOTAL's qualification date is Friday 22/04/22, the markdown date will be Monday 25/4/22......being the next trading day.

ETERNA OIL:
On full bid @5.50 as a result of additional purchase of 0.10%, (1.3M) ordinary shares) by Rainoil represented by Preline Ltd at a share price of N13.50

This purchase looking so similar to the purchase done by Prudent Energy to minority shareholders in Ardova (formerly FO) acquisition...
Let's hope minority shareholders wouldn't be at the receiving end here ........t
The units to pick from investors is 1.3million units only, this is in fulfilment of the NGX requirements...
Those playing this game should watch out and be sure you're not dumped on by the smart ones pushing the share price..

Are you referring to the price as manipulated or the quarterly and annual reports ?

Assuming audited annual reports are okay and they should be fairly okay. At N8 UBA is one of the best picks amongst bank stocks on the NSE. Dividends paid twice a year, with at least 20 kobo dividend due in 5 months time vs (30 kobo from Zenith and GTCO). It ranges at the top in dividend yield and earnings yield. I am looking forward to buy more at N8 or less.

The true Bid-Ask Volume spread for UBA is N3m or less.

Dont be deceived by the picture you see on the floor.

This stock wins the award for the most manipulated stock on NGX (both in trade and in financial reporting)

Chief i want to learn

is it because of the 27m at 7.90 you said it is being manipulated?

if so, other stocks (particularly banking) also most of d time have some price point with outsized offer, so it is not limited to UBA alone

example i think abt 7m unit was available at some point on Zenith yesterday around 24-24.05 but at a point supply was release at that price point and it eventually went down to 23.80

someone could also release supply at 7.90 if they believe the price is fair enough

or what are your thinking, i would appreciate if you share

Have you noticed that the bid appears everyday?

Have you noticed it is never filled?

Have you noticed it is always adjusting itself to between 0.5 and N1 below the trading price automatically?

If the bid was serious, it would have been filled over three weeks now.

Thats a manipulative bid

Ok thanks i now understand your point

However given all the above i would rather take it to be a floor that the MM is not willing to let it go for now (instead of outrightly looking at it as manipulative) but if any supplier (particularly institutional investor) feel the MM is wrong they can always dismantle the wall considering that they (institutional investor) typically have more than the wall holding. My take though might be naive

Thank all the same, appreciate

Hello Ogas in the house.

So i decided to renew my CSCS account and when i logged in, I did not see all my stockholding.

Secondly when i checked the transactions for one of my stocks, there was not sell or buy indicated.

I am confused i thought with CSCS it is possible to see all the buy or sell of a particular stock you own?

What I can see as the issue is there are not enough people holding UBA shares that are ready to part with it cheaply. Especially those holding very large quantities of UBA are not ready to dispose it at low prices. On the other hand there are bargain hunters ready to buy it only at discount prices to the last sale price. These bargain hunters could be small hunters and others could be big over prudent institutional investors perhaps with various discount threshold prices they are ready to deal on. And this happens for all stocks in the game of demand and supply.

In FBNH the price was low like UBA or even lower until a loaded strategic investor became very bullish about FBNH.

At the moment even with the bargain prices on many stocks, many fat cats are bearish on Nigeria's political issues. Hence prices are haggled without any bullish fire untill the political environment becomes clear.

Apart from waiting to see what FBNH dividend will look like post extended audit, I am also waiting for Q1 results generally to see how the companies are growing faster in underlying book value and earnings power than their share prices which seem to have been muted because of the political-economic environment. Sometime I feel some potential risk of disaster has been priced-in to many share prices. And the reason people are not ready to buy with bullish emotions.

Market not doing bad today.....

* OANDO: On full bid @5.33!!
* FCMB: Selling at day's high, 3.60!; Can remember hinting some weeks ago about 2nd Tier banks......Fide was below 3 & FCMB around 3....
* FIDELITY: Still doing strong head for the guys at offer table @ day's high....inching up slowly.... cheesy
* MEYER: Turning to juju stock, sighted @2.12!!! Delivered over +900% gain already from 0.20k!!
* BERGER: Today 21st is the last qualification date....
* NB : Getting quite a lot of patronage, possibly from the parent company again....
* UBA: I think when we see big big volumes like this, it sometimes only signal that some guys may be targeting it but wants to enter cheaper, if they can't beat them, they may eventually join them.....just my opinion.... tongue

OANDO scheduled Board meeting to consider 2019 FYE report on 29th April......
I think the clause "along with other corporate actions" may be one of the reasons for the interest, maybe insiders are buying, have some info, or are positioning for possible positive outcome.......

You can only see your stocks, total quantities, current price and total value.
You can't view buy or sell from CSCS, you can only do that in your trading portfolio with your broker.
