Nice thread and great dog. I love how shiny she's looking. You really take good care of her
Thanks man
Re: Meet Arya, My Northern Girl I Call Her by Doncolidon(op):
So, Arya took her Antirabbies vacc. shot a day before. It was her first shot ever so she was certified and issued 'Antirabbies Certificate' to that effect.
She's in her 16 weeks this week, and she'd be 4 months this Saturday.

My o my! Mehn, Arya is looking better every single day that passes, and her coat isn't even fully grown yet o. And this is one of the pups from a litter that some persons who think they know what they don't know were quick to dismiss as GSD/Rott mix....hehehe, let me quickly go and show these pishures to someone wink

As in ehn! My brodaaa! Sometimes I just look at her and whisper to myself..."Omo this dog fine oh, damn!" grin
Na so, her coat never even mature finish o. One can then imagine how she'd look when the coat is fully grown.

She lost a tooth today sha (one of the canines). I can imagine how painful it'd be for her embarassed
I just dey reason a treat I'd give her to make it better at least huh

Lol, yeah the change from milk to permanent teeth sort of confirms her age...usually starts at about 4 months of age. But I don't think the change of teeth is painful though. Do you remember feeling any pain when you lost any of your milk teeth back in the days? cheesy

I know right? But this one is different. This one came off while she was pulling at the towel I used in cleaning her body after bathing her a while ago. So the tooth came off kinda forcibly you know. However she isn't even showing any pain, she still devoured a plate of liver served to her minutes later grin

The tooth was probably ready to come off anyway...if it wasn't, it wouldn't have just because she was pulling on the towel. As long as it came out in one piece, and not fractured/broken, you have nothing to worry about bro. She'll carry on as if nothing happened, and before you know it, the permanent one will start coming out.

I'm not so sure if there'll be a next litter o, at least not from those 2 anyway... we're considering retiring them from breeding. But if there is, it'll surely be posted here. Thanks!

Btw how's that your solid black GSD, still going strong I presume?

Yeah he is doing good, just that old age is gradually catching up. And need a replacement soon for him.

He was the sire to my last litter. Very excellent pups they were

That's good to know man...I remember you once mentioned that he rarely fell ill in one of your threads that featured him, so I kind of knew he'd age well.

All thanks to @Rany4all for this sweet girl. Finally welcomed her home 2 days ago.
She's so meek and peaceful too much for my liking oh grin You may even mistake her for a cat. She's 3 months and hasn't even started barking yet.
In all she's intelligent in a quite intriguing and funny way.
I'd keep the thread updated if I see some interest from you guys.
Rate her guys. cool
My baby is late but I have a new one , I don't have her pictures on this device coz it's a new phone , I adore them , they just make the place feel colourful , she was a very good swimmer , she understood more English than a 5 year old toddler , I'm not exaggerating it , she mostly stayed indoors and hardly got dirty , she was also good at football, she was a thief grin, she learned how to open doors and she'll go in the kitchen to stick her snout in our pots , she was good at catch and she loved to play tag or hide and seek , she died at the age of 13 pretty old , I didn't get to see her so I didn't cry but I felt very sad

Re: Meet Arya, My Northern Girl I Call Her by Doncolidon(op): 6:14pm On Apr 24, 2022
Back to town. Arya in her new crib & environment. She's kinda quiet and well behaved now, perhaps she's still getting acquainted with the new stuff... OR maybe because of the big brother next compound (The Great Dane).
When that dog whines and barks ehn (exactly like Arya does most times) She'll suddenly keep quiet grin)
For her mind she'd be like... "Which grand papa dey do this one over there again? Pikin dey do you sef join dey whine & bark too, nawa oh. Person cannot whine and bark in peace again for here." cheesy

Hehehe...I see you finally decided against keeping her indoors. Nice one... she's a working dog and should start getting used to the outdoors early enough. Cage seems kinda high from the ground though...can she climb in by herself, or you'd have to give her a hand?

Cool compound flooring btw... wink

Well I had to build her her own crib because she's almost becoming too scared or disturbed whenever she's not with me, guess she became too attached. She'd whine and bark, kinda not appropriate for her age (I mean she's no longer a 2mnth old pup na).
So I had to change that, I mean she ain't some sort of a parlour dog or just a pet; She's a warrior and a guardian angel grin

And yeah she can climb in by herself, that's not up to a foot high na... Taken from the way she flies through stairs on a normal and I'd even be preventing her to avoid injuring her joints, this should be the very least of stress to her.

Thanks for the compliment tho

Arya chilling in her new environ.
I'll need some suggestions and assistance with her training abeg angry... A girl is becoming too playful and stubborn sometimes these days.
Any suggestion and/or assistance will be most welcomed and appreciated.

Good GSDs especially the females doesn't seem aggressive till they give birth, then you will get all the barks and attacks you want.
Eveezy:
You should really enjoy while it lasts, cos booodline doesn’t lie, and she comes from a good lineage, so expect an excellent dog. And Gsd’s are natural noise makers

No sir, it depends on the lineage, you cannot get a good working line that wouldn’t have the right temperament to work. However if you are getting a Showline, although there are chances that it will may work as a working line, it is usually not an expectation. So irrespective of age or whether it litters, a Gsd that is bred to work, will work

Arya's heading to 5mnths and she now has this voracious appetite. She doesn't leave food in her plate no more, she licks it clean. I guess her stomach has really expanded, and I'm glad. Those days when she normally picks on her food it really got me disturbed you know. But these days it gladdens my heart whenever I come and meet her plate clean smiley
I tried giving her golden morn last week o and she loved it! Aah! Arya that will normally look at me whenever I drop food for her and leave her to eat, she'd pause and look at me as I walk away, and will be like... "Where are you going bro? Are you leaving me to eat alone, ain't you gonna come join me?" grin
But the day I prepared the golden morn and gave her to eat she no even look my face as I dey go o, she was just licking away in utter delish...Chai! cheesy
But it seems the golden morn makes her purge so I had to discontinue feeding it to her.

Check my girl out! Isn't she looking good? cool

Sorry guys that I've not been keen in updating you guys here for a while now, been so preoccupied with a lot of things.

So today I decided to give my girl Arya some takeaway treat from ROBAN STORES (Been giving her lots of homemade treats)... One can find one of the best baked chicken in the area there. Arya devoured it before I could even close my eyes and open them. I felt the chicken was a bit too much to be eaten all at once so I divided it so she'd finish it up later, but it seemed as though it was even too little for her taken from the way she devoured it.

Her weight now ehn... Hei God! She has destroyed her leash, almost destroyed the collar too while I was exercising her. Too much energy mehn..damn! One day she charged with excitement and busted out of her cage... Omo! shocked

Anytime she's prepared to chill out for some photographs I'd take and post her 6 months pictures for you guys to check her out.
Thanks for following. kiss wink smiley
