Hello Everyone,
I want to inquire about some information. If a couple wants to give birth in the united state but already has a Uk visa that would expire in six months time, considering the fact that the woman is pregnant and not its not showing yet. what is the possibility of getting a USA visa in uk or other places they intend to tour during their visit( Turkey, Mexico and London) to be able to get to come to the USA to give birth.

what’s the rush and then going to get a denial? You know you do not have the finances to sponsor the trip but yet you paid and submitted application.. why?
You already have a previous UK refusal… it’s like you love rejection email or how?

Hi everyone,

Great job you are all doing here.
My husband wants to apply for a vacation to the UK. I am in Canada and we have an ongoing Canada visa processing for him (processing time can take 6months) we are tired of waiting and want to meet in the UK. That is he will come from Nigeria to UK and I will meet him there from Canada, have anyone done this before?

The ties he has to Nigeria are
- a business registered with CAC in our name
-some properties (lands)
- he is also a student at NOUN
Sadly his both parents are late and he is an only child-therefore I am his only real family tie we have already declared this in his Canada visa.
does anyone have ideas on other ways to demonstrate family ties in this situation?

Travel history:
-we met in Dubai last month ( we want to do the same thing in UK)

Now for finance:
He has 3M in a monthly fixed account. The bank liquidates it into his savings account every month and invests it again. Right now he has a balance of 500k and by tomorrow (the start of the new month-May) the 3M will be deposited again ( it clearly says liquidity from the fixed deposit). Is this okay? He gets a monthly deposit from a market-vendor job of 50k-we don’t want to call this a job as his main sustenance is the business.

The other option is for me to stand as his sponsor.
Please I need all your input. He was denied Canada visit visa around December so we want to make this one to UK tight while waiting for the response from Canada on his new application

Good morning,
So I paid for my VISA application yesterday and on getting redirected to TLS site the earliest available slot for capturing in Lagos was 13th of may. I feel that's kind of far.
My questions I already printed out my documents (Bank statement and others),
Hope a bank statement of 7 working days or 2 weeks won't be too long for consideration or should I just do a reprint towards the appointment date.

Also I have a regular salary of about 7 figures, and a 6 figure deposit was made into my account earlier in the bank statement. Do I need to explain this deposit.
I wanted to do self service but on realising the date is far and not too sure if I might need a reprint I opted for assisted service. Was this wise?
PS
I have been rejected visa by US embassy before which I stated.
This is my first time of applying for visiting UK VISA
Thanks for time in reading this and offering your advises.

Hello,

It is a 50/50 chance, you still have to follow due process, submit documents and attend the interview like they would in Nigeria.

There is no preference or difference in doing so in the UK.However with the USA I doubt there is any available appointment, the last time I checked for family was January 2023.

Cheers

Hello,

Not sure 7 WD or 2weeks will make a massive difference in your application but I would reprint my statement to have a recent date.

2. You have to explain that deposit

3. Again it doesn't make any difference, self or assisted the choice is completely yours,as long as the necessary documents are uploaded

My 2pence opinion,others may add

Cheers

Good morning,

I want to apply for UK visa for myself and my wife, for this summer vacation. However, my wife was refused US visa just two weeks ago.

My question is; will my wife denial of the US visa (just 2 weeks ago) have any adverse effect on our UK application? Are we applying too soon?

Please I need your advice everyone.
@justwise I will appreciate your take too.

All she need to do is to declare the refusal and state briefly why she was refused, as long as it’s not fraud related she will be find with UK visa application.

You said May 13th is too far……I heard you.

Pick that date then login in frequently to see if you will see earlier date. You might be lucky to get something earlier than that.

Explain all large and unusual deposits in your account.

Have you gone for biometrics? If yes, there is nothing you can do about it other than to hope and pray the ECO doesn't try to verify your accommodation booking. If you haven't gone for biometrics, you can still do something about it.

Accomodation is not a major issue. The Visa officers are usually more concerned about your financial status and ties to Nigeria. They know you will not sleep in the airport or under any bridge so they are not really worried about your accomodation. As long as you have a healthy bank statement and can prove you are financially okay, you are good to go. Don't worry too much about this.

Hello house,
I submitted 4months (2nd Jan to 29th April 2022) account statement and 3 months (Jan to March 2022) pay slips. In the account statement, the April salary only reflected in the "useable Balance" and not in the closing balance nor in the credit section because i printed out the account statement the same day the salary was paid. I was trying to upload and submit all my documents the night before my the morning of my TLS appointment. I heard the documents must be submitted 24hrs before appointment. Also April pay slip was not ready by the time i submitted my documents. Although i explained these small details in the visa cover letter which i uploaded in the "other" section (for self-service), i keep on thinking that i should have delayed submitting my documents until 30th April morning - the morning of TLS appointment - so that the April salary will reflect in the credit and closing balance of my account statement. I'm also worried if the visa officers will see my cover letter in the "other" section.
Would they judge my financial status based on the closing balance or would they acknowledge the useable balance? who knows please?

Hello everyone, I’m new here though I have read a lot of posts on this page.
Please, I applied for a UK visit visa to attend my brother’s wedding. Biometrics was done 5th if April at TLS Ikeja. I only got an email that same day that my application had been transferred to DMC, this was also updated on the TLS website when I tracked it.
While going through this page, I noticed that people got emails from UKVI that their application has been received. Is it that my application hasn’t gotten to the UKVI, since I haven’t gotten any mail from them... this is 4weeks now

Is it his?
Does he have proof to show the origin of this large amount and Why does a fixed deposit need to be liquidated every month?

2 or 3 ppl have recently invited their moms for grad, meeting grandchild etc and have posted explicit documentation and how they went about it. This will help you a great deal.
You might want to go through this thread.. no gurus here

2. It would have been proper for you to explain in the cover letter the submission of your four month bank statement
3. if you were employed in January then the Onus is on the ECO to access your ties in your country but if you were employed long ago then it gives the ECO impression that you are not a genuine visitor.

Thanks Giselle. Actually the I deposited the money in his acct for his canada visa application, so rather than leave it lying in the account, we fixed it with gt bank and get 0.5% interest every month. We receive deposit and liquidity email from the bank every month. It’s called monthly fixed deposit. We choose the monthly payment sothat we can easily assess the money and end the transaction

Madame, no one is a guru or visa officer here. Those who claim to be gurus are your average travel agents claiming to be queen Elizabeth. Any advice you receive on here is based on past experience or what ppl did in your situation on this thread in times past hence the need why you should abreast yourself with the information by reading the thread thoroughly. He just gave you a solution to your problem on how to peruse this thread for someone in similar circumstance, instead of doing just that you are busy saying another thing. If you are expecting handout because you are lazy or pressed for time, you will not be given.

so if the ECO wants to know the source of the fund what will you do?
Everyone is seen as a potential runaway until proven otherwise, I want you to at least tell me his own ties.
You said he has a business , that’s not all they want. They want to be sure such business is trading and making profit. In his case, this does not seem to be so. It’s 50-50
You can try. As long as there is Canada in the pipeline, then you guys can afford to wait. Or still use Dubai as before. If your guts say no then go for it.
Just look for how to make a tight application
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by ditha(f): 5:39am On May 02, 2022
Yeah I have some doubt . Will just leave the 3M in the business account and let in grow for a couple of months while waiting for Canada’s decision

Hello,

Once you have gone through the thread like others advised you will have a clear understanding and possibly specific questions on your mum's application.

The extra thing to add is you will need to request for an additional letter of invite from your husband's university to attend his graduation.
She needs to prove ties like the thread indicates even when you and your husband are sponsors.

Cheers
