You are a thief. A person can receives stolen items and money is also considered a theif according yo the law. To make matters worse you were aware the stole money and items from hers mums shop to give, so you have no excuse to claim ignorance.

last week, i recieved the sum of N250,000K to my bank account with her name as the depositor, i called her and she told me i shouldn't fear that she was the one who sent it.

I ask her why and she said i should help her to save it. I've already spent N40K from the money which she was aware of.

I'm now getting imformation that her mum gave her money to deposit to their accout, but she instead sent it to me and said she lost the money. Is like she finally told her the truth that she sent me the money, and i don't kno if she told them she has been given me money before.

I don't kno what i will do, my landlord is callin but i don't want to pick.

Return home nothing will happen,tell them she gave you to keep for her.

Relax. Call her and apologise for what has happened. Offer to refund the N250k and maybe a little more for inconveniences she had undergone. Calling police is not cheap in Nigeria. She would have spent about N10k to bring police to your house.

The case is a bit complex, as you did not steal the money yourself. You cannot be prosecuted without involving her daughter as well as the money was transfered from her account, and she will not want her daughter arrested and prosecuted. Except they twist the story and alleged that you threatened her daughter.

If she agrees go with a senior family member or a lawyer if you have one that can follow you for free or cheap. When paying back the money make sure you use bank transfer directly from your account for record purposes. If you don't have the full sum now, transfer what you have and give a date to pay the balance.

If the case goes to police and subsequently to court, you and your girlfriend's mum would down a lot of money. She might even spend more than the N250k, as she will first be required to bail her daughter. Mention this to her if she refuses to cooperate.

Final issue. You will also need to settle the IPO to close the case. A minimum of N10k

One more thing - I hope her daughter (your girlfriend) is not a minor (under 18). If she is, you are in for a lot more trouble.

As a first step, send back whatever is remaining to her account. And then own up that you bleeped up and show yourself. The 201k you have sent will help your case. Otherwise you are a goner

He should not send any money without the agreement of the mother. If he did that he would have lost the only leverage he has. She could accuse him of receiving more money in cash and stolen items from her daughter.
