Osogbo isn't that expensive to live actually... Just have a source of income and you re good to go, if you have a means of transportation (like a car of your own/ bike). It will reduce the cost of tp from moving here and Dre. The house rent is affordable at least..

I stays in osogbo
Pls how much does a two bedroom cost in Oshogbo. Or Single room self contained.

Cost of living in Oshogbo is very cheap. One of the cheapest state capital to live in.

Although, I left Oshogbo in 2015 after my NYSC but I must say, I was living fine and well with my N19,800.
Rented a decent room with it and cost of feeding too was very cheap. I heard transport is a bit expensive now cuz then, with just N50, you would tour the entire Oshogbo (one-way) unlike what we have here in Lagos.

Coming from Kaduna won't make much difference with your forecast. Whatever your income is in Kaduna would be enough to take care of you and your family in Oshogbo. Use that as a guide.

Let me also add that Oshogbo has steady power supply! Dem too dey get light, abegi!
Hello. Trust your doing good, how is family and everyone around you.
2015 set as well. Batch C. I served in ila orangun. Please anything about state allowance the then governor was owing us? I was forced to have an account with Stanbic bank after my many accounts with other banks. So after the service and the last allawee was removed, I abandoned the account. Anything? And once again how you doing

Living condition is cheap and affordable, very peaceful and good electricity... Even with 50k monthly you are good to go. Things are affordable and a lot of fun places... That's my town
That is on point but the only problem with osogbo is that the purchasing power of the people is very low and as such businesses do not thrives there compare to major cities like lagos, ibadan, portharcourt, benin, kano etc.

Thank you so much. Do you think 100k monthly will be enough for feeding and other basic stuffs?. I have my own car and housing is not too be included because it is taken care of already.
Infact 50k to 100k is more enough apart from house rent and tf. Since you have your own car Infact you will be living like a king in your area. Constant light light is another thing you are going to be enjoying. Don’t bother bringing your generator because you will definitely dash it out to someone ya last.

Kaduna is not cheap ooo. Osogbo life is far better than KD.
Food is generally cheaper in the North than South. And that's where major part of the monthly income goes.

Hi all,

Please I need pointers on how expensive it is to live comfortably in Oshogbo for a family of 3 (Man, woman and a 10 yrs old child).

Planning relocating from Kaduna to Oshogo but I want to know how expensive the city is so I can make adequate preparations.

Thank for the anticipated responses.
Just know is cheap. Even if you have income of 50k monthly you can manage. House is cheap, no much activities there.

Nothing ooo. Absolutely nothing!

I'd advice you take your mind off it because the then administration struggled to even pay half salary to its civil servants how much more we corpers who were earning more than some civil servants at that time sef.

Besides, power had since changed hands. So Forgerrit.

Well, I live in Osogbo.
The cost of living might be higher than what you have in Kaduna but lower than what you might have in Lagos or Ibadan.
Food prices are high in the South generally compared to the North.
House rent too. Two bedrooms with fence and borehole goes for 250k annually.
Transport cost within the city using taxi ranges between N100 and N200 per drop depending on the distance, I'm not talking about bikes.
Electricity is fairly stable as the city is a home to NCC/Nationwide distribution.
Business could be dull because of the not much population compared to big cities. But if you are transporter, be rest assured that you won't lack money.
Security of lives and properties is not bad. Not excellent but far better than majority of the cities in Nigeria.

I like your submission, it is accurate. Except for the part that made me clicked the Report Button on your ass
Where is the lie in that statement?

When giving people advice, suggestions and ideas about a new place, you give them every possible info.

I say things as they are.

You don't just give them only the good and pleasing ones and hide the bad ones.
Let them know everything they need to know, so that when they finally decide to move, they won't be taken unaware by any unforeseen circumstances or challenges.

That been said, answer this question sincerely, is the statement you stroked wrong or right?

That was in those days, I live in North, I can tell you without missing words. Food is not cheap again in the north, this insecurity is biting deeply. Far north depends on middle Belt for most of there foods too, the villagers are at IDP, who will farm??

Its enough for you. Electricity like 13k a month. If your wife is good in bargain she waits for market days you will get food stuffs at cheaper rate

2 bedroom flat at 150k is very reasonable.
What about the security of that area Agunbelewo? (Robbers and stuff)

Good road network, steady power supply, commerce center, Serena environment, very affordable housing and food, peaceful atmosphere.
That's what you'll enjoy in Oshogbo and Osun in general.

All thanks to God who blessed the State with a thinker, my Leader and Political mentor, Hon. Min. of Interior, Ogbeni Adesoji Aregbesola.

Corpers serving in the North still post these food stuffs here from time to time. Despite all the insecurities, we in the South still rely on them on daily basis.
