ok the usual tribal card to avoid crying

Tilumbu is begging for consesus within south west aspirants

South West aspirants have called his bluff

Truly tilumbu know why he begged for consesus because he is finished, now that he didn't get consensus what does that make his Faith

What tribal card? Fact is that your region is in a mess because your leaders can never unite over anything that aids the greater good.

They are all individually selfish and myopic. It is the way you and your people are so I understand why you are keen to promote the "snubbing of Tinubu" angle when the averagely intelligent Yoruba knows this is about much more than Tinubu or Osinbajo.

There is never anything wrong in an assured and brave leader going to listen to what others have to say. Especially if those others are directly linked to the good fortunes said leaders enjoy currently.

Abi Osinbajo was even a politician when Akande etal were sitting in long meetings, across Nigeria, to birth the APC? Osinbajo had a private jet to be flying Buhari and co around in 2013-2015 as Tinubu provided?

You lack appreciation and gratitude for the past and will therefore always fail regarding the future.

Osinbajo will fail similarly because of this also because anyone who thinks the likes of Akande, Osoba etal, who are now asking for a meeting, have nil influence, and that federal/Buhari might will get them over the line, may be shocked at the end.

Osinbajo's total political naivete will be his undoing. The likes of Fayemi and Amosun are not worth mentioning.

Your analysis is spot on and in line with this I expect you to see the wider picture.

If those 'babas' who are delegates, are calling for a meeting with aim of strong arming everyone into a consensus, WHY THEN SHOULD THE VP ATTEND?

I know you're not about to say he could convince and elicit their support at such partisan meeting and location!

Or are you? undecided

I love this conversation. If I'm in the position to advise the VP, I'll tell him to honour the invitation and simply make his position known. In that way he has not disrespected any of the leaders of the southwest Apc.

But if he decides not to attend the meeting by ignoring the invitation, that's clearly disrespectful to the south west leaders and such an action can deflate whatever goodwill he had in some circles within the southwest Apc.

Note that nobody can force him to agree to anything in that meeting. He can speak to the press on issues discussed and what his positions are after the meeting. Very simple! Most of these lawyers writing long epistle now won't be at the eagles square. Wisdom is profitable to direct. That's my take.

Going through this thread, I read your responses with rapt attention and I am impressed by your intelligence and eloquence.

Now, I don't know your relationship with BAT and how embedded you are in his circle but I'm going to address you as a I think a majority of us on this platform are - Concerned Citizens of Nigeria.

Dsalvo, you have seen the articles. You have seen the pictures. You have seen the videos.

In your heart of hearts, do you truly believe BAT is FIT to helm affairs of the largest black population on Earth?

Is he physically fit? Mentally?

Will he govern or will stooges?

Don't you think Nigerians have SUFFERED enough at the hands of the old guard?

Don't you think we should give room for new brains... fit for the job?

I'm not going to touch on BAT's extensive Moral antencedence because indeed none of us is spotless, but I dare say that if he, as an elderly statesman is concerned about welfare of this country, he will support a younger hand to steer the ship.

The young inherit from the Elderly. Elders don't inherit their young.

I am flummoxed that concerned citizens of this country are still in support of BAT even after all existential evidence of his ailing health.

I know you believe he deserves the seat after his efforts to get GMB and PYO there but I'll have you know that the Presidency is a seat of service, not a palace.

BAT is not fit for service. Let him support a fit and worthy hand while giving his input from the comfort his wife's care... as the respected elderstateman that he his.

Posterity will forever remember him as the man who crowned two Kings.

Awesome. This definitely makes sense but alluding to our statement that

...I dare postulate that at this moment (less than 30 days to primaries), everyone already knows where they stand.

Lol..... not in a game like this. You see this delegates driven primary election? 24hrs is a big big time. Infact few days to indirect primary is when the main things happen.

As a follow up to my earlier response, do you know that as of today for instance nobody knows clearly where Akeredolu truly stands? There are still alot of delegates in Oyo that are still undecided.

Hmmm true. Indeed it would be a faux pas for PYO to avoid the meeting. I totally get you now.

Akeredolu is with Asiwaju. Cumulatively, SW delegates are with BAT. Osinbajo is politically inexperienced and counting on the support of Buhari who is not and will never be a good and efficient Party politician.

Buhari may have previously been the champion of the Talakawa masses but he is nowhere near as special as Tinubu when it comes to productive peer to peer relationship politicians have with each other.

Dont mind IPOBians on threads like this. They have nothing to contribute as they only know politics of division, hate, toxicity and enmity.

Everybody fighting other to a standstill so thst nothing productive gets achieved and the methodical and machiavellian North wins again.

It is their way so dont expect even a single IPOBian to contribute positively to this topic that is way above their head and reasoning.

Bro, I appreciate your reasoning. It is logical and pragmatically sound. That of a productive and progressive mind.

That said, I personally know Tinubu is of sound mind and reasoning. I am not his doctor but he is unlikely to ever struggle with thinking.

My opinion is that Tinubu is not more debilitated physically than Biden who is now POTUS and was elected into office with Americans aware of his health challenges which does not affect his ability to lead the USA effectively in conjunction with a stellar team.

I am a big fan of Tinubu because I know he has already identified his cabinet 5 years ago lol. Buhari took ages which was the first sign we may have voted an unprepared candidate as President.

Overall, I am sure Tinubu will be a fantastic President. It is my opinion yet you're entitled to yours even if contrary to mine.

We all just have to go and vote to back our opinion. After Party delegates have voted of course. cool

I agree with you on other issues raised, I've been following Akeredolu closely on the issue of this primary, he has not really made any affirmative statement on any aspirant.

If Osibanjo chose not to attend it is OK but should he align with the hopeless list of PDP elders like Adebanjo Gani Adams he is on a long thing.
