How is that your problem? Are you from any of the zones? How on earth does it concern you?

Close ideology like the demonic ideology of 2014 where the SW worked the ideology against GEJ that brought a northerner to power, right?!
Don't worry,we shall also reciprocate that very good ideology grin

The tribal mentality on display

Must we vote for a person be cause they are Yoruba or from the SS regardless o f performance?

That might work in your enclave but not for us
You conveniently forgot that there was an election in 2011 and the same GEJ won the SW ? So is it not logical that he was voted out based on performance?

Why not apply the same logic when the SE did not vote Ojukwu

The fact that you have ties with a people does not mean you must vote for them.

That sentimentality does not work

Close ideology yes

It was the ideology of the Action Group and its successor Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) to push FREE EDUCATION and that policy was championed in what today is now Delta State and Edo State just like with the rest of the Western region

Today those two states have among the best statistics when it comes to education in Nigeria

The UPN won Bendel state in 1979 and continued the FREE EDUCATION policy and established Ambrose Alli University in 1981 one of the first state universities in Nigeria

Yes I know all that cos that's my state which is now Edo.

The late Ambrose Ali shared the ideology of the great Awo.
What baffles me and every concerned southerner is,why would you yorubas now bring people who share the direct opposite of what you said above to power knowing their type of archaic ideology and what they stand for?
Awo never had anything much to do with the govt at the center. Awo never empowered touts and agberoes. Awo gave everyone books FOC! Awo had nothing to do with people who don't practice true federalism.
Do you think if Awo were alive today,he would sanction what your present crop of yoruba leaders are doing today?

No problem with coming together

big problem with attach by force , attach by lies, attach by trick

Once The only connection I know of is that Itsekiris sold Eboes as slaves for centuries
Pray tell, how are Igbos attaching to the south-south with ‘force, lies and tricks’!? And (assuming it’s true) how is the ‘attaché-by-force’ any different or worse than what ‘one Nigeria’ advocates like you are doing with Ndigbo/south-east!?

There you go veering off on a tangent as normal! What has the ignorance and wickedness committed by Africans centuries ago got to do with the relationship and mutually-beneficial interactions of neighbours sharing the same political space today? Or do you come from a ethnicity whose ancestors weren’t sold into slavery...and if so, can we have their name so we can update the history books!?

Like i noted before, it’s strange how you agonise and rant over a commonality of purpose between the south-east and south-south when the one happening in the north doesn’t seem to register with you! This is the same north where the Middlebelt have on a number of occasions dissociated themselves from the muslim core north and even joined southern ethnic/regional groups to hold meetings and make pronouncements on Nigeria’s’ political present and future!

Money from LNG from the SE and the SS gets to Nigeria.

Nigeria uses the money to develop new infrastructures in the North, SW, and Niger Republic, excludes the SE and the SS from modern development infrastructures.

Only a God-forsaken country would do that.
Another "WE THE SS/SE rant

Always attaching

If the Gas from the SE was that significant we should see it in their allocation as they would be entitled to 13% derivation

No we don't because it is not significant.

So Edo and Delta are the only SS states? Do you know that Chukwuma kaduna Nzeogwu that carried out the 1st coup that Igbos are blamed for, is from present day Delta State? Let that sink in!

Why the emotional blackmail

How were Edo or Delta part of the old Eastern Region?
At any rate it is OLD meaning redundant

The truth is that the so called SS used to be part of the OLD Eastern and Western regions

Free yourself from tribal thinking

What is "You Yorubas

Yorubas have never all been in the same political camp and never will be
Awo had his followership as did Akintola so the idea that Yoruba should face one direction is foolish
.This thread is not about Awolowo
You are derailing from the topic

The point is that the MidWest had commonality with the Western region to a greater extent than the Eastern region politically and geographically . It was not absolute and so naturally there were differences.

Today it is part of the so called SS and the point here is

When saying "WE THE SE/SS" that applies less to Edo or Delta a s there never was any union

Why do you now say Igbos led the first coup when Nzeogwu is from Delta State?

If you remove Edo and Delta, what about the remaining 4 SS States? Is that not majority of the SS States?

Whether it is majority or not is debatable nevertheless it is still not all and that must be acknowledged.
It is not insignificant .

Re: We The SS/SE by DMerciful(m): 3:42pm On Jan 19, 2022
In you first mention, you said I was trying to be dishonest but a neutral observer would easily know you're the dishonest one.

For ages you guys have been saying igbos led the first coup via Nzeogwu who is from Delta state yet you don't see the link btw Delta and SE.

You also say 4 out of 6 is not enough to define the whole, that's just pure mathematical ignorance.

Go through your comments, you'd see why I can't wake you because you're pretending to be asleep

You wrte your own exam. mark it and give yourself best prize.

Free yourself from that Umunna mentality where you see the world as we versus them

Who are "YOU GUYS"?

Once upon a time there were only two states in the SE compared to 4 in the SW

States were created arbitrarily so to talk about "mathematical " ignorance is another layer of dishonesty? The number of states tells us what? Who created the states?

There are more people in some states than the entire SS so do not talk about mathematics

Stop shifting the reality is that you cannot wake up and declare we the SS/SE whilst ignoring the reality that the SS is a diverse enclave not for you to cut and choose as you please

If you're sincere with your question you'd accept the fact that the present SE and SS combined made up the old Eastern region.

So creating of geopolitical zones recently that's not even in the constitution does not change the old ties between them
The Midwest Region (Edo Delta part of Bayelsa) were in the Western Region and part of the South South.
You are deepening the hatred with this senseless attitude.
