Recently I heard my daughter saying "Zazoo zeh" she is not up to 2years though. Am that kind of person that always caution myself and watch the kind of music I listen at home, but she did not learn the word at home, am sure she might have heard it somewhere in her mom shop, because my wife shop is located somewhere very rough, a lot of children in the environment. But my wife does not see this as a big deal. She always told me that she can't stop the little girl from playing with other children in the hood and that's true. That day when I heard her say that word, I called her to myself and told her not to say the word again that it's not good saying such word, she nodded in approval.

Two days ago I heard her saying this common words "Eni pe". I felt really bad, because I don't want my daughter to learn those bad words, but my wife feel am overreacting.

Am I overreacting truly? How do I stop my daughter from saying such words?

Children pick dirty frequent words because it's a common word they say in a crazy environment

You can decide to put her In day care center that is in the school so that after school she resumes there and you guys can pick her up by 6pm on your way home, especially your wife who closes early

With the above, she will not be frequent to those crazy place with mad guys

But left to me, both you and your wife will work together to stop her and caution her anytime she says naughty words

Moreover, she will out grow those words as she grows, do far both of you are still working on her

Effect of the society she's growing in. Keep training her that those are foul words.
Go further by listing popular slangs. Write them down & tell her the good ones and those you see as bad ones.
Zazoo & Eni pe are still fair. But if tolerated, she fit graduate to toto, puss y, werey, Ori e baje, ori e buru, oloshi, iya e, baba e, & so on.
That's just one 5hing about u daughters of eve, U can't reason straight at all. OP said that he told d wife and d said wife did not see anything in it, that means d mother has questions to answer in refards to this.not d society.
Op if u really wana train your daughter in African way, pls u hv to man up now that d girl is still little, bcs what we hv this day are slay mamas

Look no further, your wife. Daughters are replica of their mothers most often. Then change her school and possibly also, the house help.

Don't forget to stop the "devil's box" tv

Acidosis:
I was going to recommend a change of environment but I remembered we are in the digital age. Whether you live in the zoo, among Mushin touts, or a posh environment, your daughter will grow up to mingle with all kinds of social animals on Tiktok, Twitter, IG, etc. The "zazooh zeh" she likely wouldn't hear in a posh environment or school, she will hear it on Tiktok.

The goal is to keep feeding her with the right teachings, stories, thoughts, etc. If you guys are Christians, then the word of God is your best bet. The human mind can NEVER be idle. You can't practise or believe in nothing. You're either here or there.

By the way, "eni pe" is not so bad though, I think a comedian initiated that. I say/do that a lot with my spouse. Na she and some friends influence me sef grin grin
What does "eni pe" mean?

Time to look her up.
Or better still put her in nunnery and fill her head with tales of ancient rapes and human sacrifices in the middle east.

Parents can only try, but no matter how much you try, some of your kids will turn out armed robbers, kidnappers, assassins, terrorists, rapists, thieves etc.

Try your best though and I wish you luck.

This is why I'm against breeding

Lolz...
I think you’re overreacting bro.
I just laugh it off when my kids say such things. They’re just street slangs that’d face away soon. No biggie.
Learning few street slangs could prevent your kid from getting “ride upon” by other kids at sch or on the street.

Smack her and let her know it is bad to talk like that... These are the formative years. Make sure discipline isn't left out of her curriculum.

You are living in the hood and you don't want your kids to learn foul words. The only advice you need is to go make money and leave the trenches, and also put your kids in a good school. Otherwise, stop disturbing us comrade. undecided

Re: My 2-Year-Old Daughter Is Using Foul Words by Nobody: 3:50pm On May 08, 2022
Op is just over-reacting. Its normal for kids to say such at that age as they pick words very fast. Even kids that were grown in missionary schools from birth know foul languages. What is you need just do is caution her.

In the society of today, you can NEVER prevent such but just curtail it.

Expect more in their teen years when they start mixing up in schools and social places. All the ills you feel you are preventing them knowing, they definitely will know on their own at that stage. You just have to keep educating them on the ills and disadvantages so they PERSONALLY decide not to use it. But them not knowing, its impossible!

The world is now wild. Pornography and foul languages has sank into humans.

Children are easily influenced.....They learn very fast wether good or bad.

There was a day I saw my neighbours daughter, she'll be like 3yrs plus......She was saying "E dey shake, e dey shake" while dancing in a funny way. I warned her not to try that rubbish again.

There's a 2 years old at my hostel that's always singing

"I am coming, I am coming". His mother is always filled with horror whenever he say those word...

If you say Zazoo, He'll say zeh...

But I can blame the mother or the lil baby.... Because those sounds are our anthems, blasting on speakers everytime.

Very true, my Three year old boy does that too once in a while, I discover it was from his school, what I normally do is to caution him, when I do that he withdraws to his room and once I cheer him up we resume our play activity
