There are various several options you have.

For Web development as an example, you can use the following resources;
1. www.W3Schools.com
2.www.udemy.con
3.freecodecamp.com
4. Sololearn (an app)
5. deetechy.com/get-coursewares

Amongst many others.....

Thanks for this, I reside in Lagos, precisely on the mainland. I would like to learn any of the above listed courses on bold.

My question is, where can I get an academy that’s going to teach me, not talking about online course. I want to attend a physical class where I get to ask my questions and interact

Thanks. Please kindly reply in my dm

I still wonder why the powerful Actionscript is not listed.

Python.
Python is a Rapid Application Development(RAD) language which lets you write complex software with less codes.
It is made juicier with the arrays of available modules that makes your programming life fun, easy and exciting.
As a developer, if you pick up python and dedicate say 2 weeks to learning it, You wont go back.

Python is not only addictive but also clean and organized. You can read through source codes written in python and you know what they do right a way.
the syntax design is near perfect as it lets you code without thinking of ending every line with semi-colons, no dollar signs, no var, Dim or the likes.
Python developers here can add theirs.

pls help me am interested in this python and my number is 08033430071

I would suggest you to do Python Programme because Python is an extremely useful programming language. Almost every piece of software contains it. Python, for example, is utilized in facial recognition software and apps, as well as thumbprint recognition. Python is used to solve a variety of problems. In today's world, it is commonly used in business. Artificial intelligence can also benefit from data science. I came upon Learnbay provides the best data science course in Pune with a job guarantee. It could be beneficial to newcomers. To know more visit their website Learnbay.co https://www.learnbay.co/data-science-course/data-science-course-in-pune/

Hi, I'm Franklin (17), I've been coding for a while now (like since 2019, or earlier) but I haven't really been consistent due to school work, I'm already very proficient in the language even if I haven't completely mastered it, I'm planning on re learning a few basic and intermediate concepts I must have forgotten, and learning advanced concepts from scratch, but recently I've been seeing a few articles online like "why you shouldn't start your coding career with Python " and others, I strongly refuse to believe that I have been wasting my time learn Python since all these years, to be honest I really love the language and I already consider myself to be a pythonista, I would like to focus on one or some of the following AI/ML, web app development (Data science, IoT, and Standalone software maybe later), I also wish to learn another language to compliment python in areas where it could be lacking (like performance speed for example), maybe I could get the best of both worlds, maybe I could choose between C++ and Java.
I'm sorry for the very long writeup, I'm new here grin

Here's a summary (TL; DR)
Am I right for choosing to stick with python, and what should I choose as a secondary language from C++ and Java (I know I'll still need HTML, CSS, and JS for web)

learning programming is not a one day stuff, it takes time, devotion and consistency....i heard there are some sellers that teaches programming on a freelancing app called fiverr. And there are also some website design professionals that can help you with other things...check out the link below;

Sup ! Each language is better suited to a specific task. The best language for you depends on what you want to do. For example, for mobile app development Kotlin is the current language, for web development PHP for back-end and JS for front-end. But if you're just starting out, I think Python is best. It's a language with dynamic typing and understandable syntax.
what of HTML?? Am a newbie here,. I started reading about HTML,.. is it a waste of time?

Hp. But I don't think you can get a good laptop for 150k except you can get a good fairly used one. If you're serious with programming, your laptop should come with at least an intel i3 processor or better, 4g ram or better, 1355x768 screen resolution or better, and good battery life. You can get a regular HDD laptop if you're just starting but if you have the extra bucks you should get an SSD laptop. SSD laptops are 3 times faster than their HDD counterparts but cost almost twice as much
I am just starting,. Us it okay to buy fairly used laptop of 50-70k

Good to go. Can't really say for machine learning stuff or 3D Animation stuff. But the specs should suffice for web and even native Android development.
I am new to programming could you recommend a laptop of 50 -70k for me for learning purpose,..I will upgrade it later wen I have enough money

It depends on what area of programming you want to learn but for the most part you should be able to get by with a 70k laptop if you can get a good one.

C++ is famous for being the hardest language to learn, run from it. shocked
For web development since you already learnt python you are already leaning towards backend web development and for that you'd have to learn any of the popular frameworks (flask/Django). You'll also need to have some knowledge of HTML, CSS and JS.

Java is a powerful all purpose language and it's a lot faster than python hence it could come in handy in some ML and AI uses cases. Just like python, it is an object oriented programming language but it can be run anywhere using the JVM while python can't. "Java developer" is the #1 job on Glassdoor.com. Java is like a big brother to python.

If you've mastered python and you're good at statistical and logical reasoning then perhaps you can venture into data science. You may need to gain some other skills like excel, SQL, version control (Git) etc. Note! Most data science jobs are not entry level, do some research.

My advice to you would be : Don't just go learning stuff you may never even need, decide on what area of programming you would like to practice and learn what you need as you go. Just Google "Roadmap to <your choice> and you'll find what you need. Good luck

Thanks for the advice, I have already decided that I'll focus mainly on mastering python and a few frameworks necessary for what I might want to do, I might not even need to learn c++ or java (unless I'm hit with a problem which would surpass the capabilities of python, which I'm guessing would rarely happen), I'm also planning on going deep into Data Structures and Algorithms and some other computer theory topics related to my "chosen" career, and I Google a lot, I'll definitely find more resources to help me on this journey (This forum is one of them :smilessmiley

HTML is not a waste of time, as a matter of fact, HTML, CSS and JavaScript are the 3 main languages of the web (correct me if I'm wrong, I might be an idiot), you can't build anything for the web without those three languages (again, correct me if need be), even if you're going to use frameworks like django or flask (python), you must learn HTML, CSS and some basic JavaScript to build functioning web apps, you can't even get away with using Bootstrap without adequate HTML, CSS and JavaScript knowledge wink

In case you're interested in learning / mastering python, I found this roadmap of "*questionable" accuracy

* questionable in the sense that some things might be missing

More targeted towards back end development (I guess that's why it's missing a few things)

Can a core i3, 5th generation, 8 gig RAM, 500 gig HDD do android development?

You might need to up your budget a bit. And maybe keep tab with those technologies market thread perhaps you might see a good deal.
Though the route I followed when starting was to buy an almost dead laptop(no ba3, no hard disk, no charger, with some dent around the screen area) for I think 20k or so. And then I bought Hard disk, ba3, charger and increase the ram. The laptop served me before it was stolen.
P.S: this was years back.

It truly depens on two factors :

1. Your Budget
2. Your usage

If possible then have i5 with 8 gigs of ram or more and and an SSD and it'll serve you well for years to come.

If not possible go for i3 with 8 gigs ram with an SSD. There is a huge difference between the performance of an SSD laptop and that of an HDD laptop.

You can also go for the ryzen equivalent of an i3 or i5 with an SSD and 8 gig + of ram. Ryzen laptop are relatively cheaper than intel.

If you're on a tight budget then you can go with the spec you stated above but expect some lags here and there.
