I would not he surprised. Thanks to COVID-19 mandates... the lock downs and restrictions ... mental health issues have increased big time ... even among kids. In prisons... even before COVID-19... they have stopped putting prisoners in extended periods of solitary confinement because prisoners were getting mad and committing suicide. Why wouldn't the lo known and restrictions affect Genny?... and others in the entertainment industry when their means of livelihood is cut off? ... with Vinny when her small social circle is cut off?.... and she becomes isolated?... pretty much in solitary confinement for two years?... when as a celebrity and rich has the added stress of fear of being kidnapped since it's now open season for kidnappings... can she really now trust the few people around her? ... would she be another victim? ... would her daughter be targeted? Who knows.... was she dating someone with a hidden agenda which she uncovered? If she has mental health issues ... I wouldn't be surprised. If she's in fact in a Texas hospital .... good for her if they don't use the opportunity to put her on some kind addictive drug in the name of helping her when in fact is to drain her finances.

I keep saying that Nigerians lack the ability to be critical thinkers. What does being single have to do with mental illness? Do you understand how mental illness works? Mental illness is a result of numerous factors such as drugs, trauma, stress or anxiety. It can happen to anyone. In fact, a lot of married women suffer from mental illness. The difference is that they keep it to themselves due to the way society would view them. Newsflash, most people in this country suffer have mental issues. How else would people be driving recklessly on the road without having a duty of care towards their fellow motorist? How else will people be snapping pictures of someone dying instead of taking them to the hospital? How else would people be fighting naked on the road over N50 if not for mental illness? Or continue to vote for their oppressors because they come from the same tribe and religion as them?

Genevieve already has a grown up daughter so it's not likely she's totally alone. Being married does not guarantee sanity or happiness. Especially if the man does not respect his wife. Most of the men who attempted suicide over Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos are actually married men. So what's their excuse? Nigerians need to use their brains and stop allowing religion and culture to govern their senses.

Believe me dear, I work in a hospital.. we have all these department there. Listen carefully! I said; 96% of women that stay off from men and that are above 45yrs ends up having a mental health problems. Staying off from men and staying without a man are two different things. You see those women that always say i don't need a man in my life! Those once are staying off from men. Staying without a man are those women that hang around with men but they are not into any form of relationship.
