Let me start by recommending @sokotogudali's cover letter. It was very detailed and I followed the same format. The truth is I made a decision to visit UK on 1st April, I had no earlier plans prior to that date, my bank statements were a mess, so I decided to explain every single income in my account as recommended by sokotogudali . I explained every single income in my account and son's account. My travel budget was also more than two times of my monthly income but not up to three times. I included the following documents:
1. Employment letter with introduction letter
2. Letter of invite with passport page of invitee and utility bills
3. Marriage certificate
4. Letter of consent for my son ( I am travelling with my son)
5. Bank statements(savings, salary and domiciliary)
6. Utility bill of my residence.
7. Husband's passport page
8. Son's birth certificate and result from his 2nd term exam and 3rd term calendar
9. My son's statement of account indicating his dad has sent the sum for his travel ticket
10. Letter of consent and sponsor ship for my son
11. A lot of family photographs
12. My work payslip
13. My previous visas
14. A 5 paged cover letter explaining my travel itinerary, my bank statements, my other income apart from my salary.

Above all let's pray for God's favour. My warm regards to everyone making this thread lively and contributing their quota

The fear of refusal o, I would rather explain in excess than omit a vital information, also the several thousands of naira I paid as visa fee was at stake.

I made a mistake while filling my application for a standard visa, instead of 7mil yearly, I said 700,000. Even though I submitted both my personal and business accounts that confirm my declaration, my application was refused with the below letter. What can I do about this pls?
Thanks for the response

There is nothing you can do really with this application, you have no right of an appeal or administrative review.

Just reapply down the line and make sure you cover all the basis.

There is no need to rush any application in future. Good luck.

The chance of getting a visa approval when RENEWING is very high compare to first time applicants with no travel history
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by jennyhumphrey(f): 8:31am On May 13, 2022
I agree it is high, but I know someone that was denied when she wanted to renew her visa, this is someone that had gone to the UK on more than two different visas and she never stayed past 4 weeks hence the reason I went all the way trying to explain. Also my bank statements were a total mess, so many red flags and huge deposits not for visa reasons o because I never had the intention to apply for a renewal until 1st April

Good morning. As a first time traveller, I recommend 6 months visa. Start with that. You can apply now. Read the thread for more information. Good luck!

Don't worry about it. Plans change all the time. You can decide to travel at a different date for many reasons. It should not be an issue.

There is no renewal for British visa. You reapply every single time. And yes, the chances of a positive outcome is higher if you are not a first timer. However, it is advisable to treat every application like a first time and pay a lot of attention to details. I have been refused twice - despite my frequent travel history. In those days, it was possible to appeal. I appealed and got my visas on the two occasions. On one occasion, I actually took my case to the immigration court in the UK and the Judge ruled in my favour after a year long wait. I was ready to wait rather than reapply because the reason for refusal could stain my travel history and I didn't want that in my records. So, I took my case to the immigration court. My point is, travel history is not an insurance against refusal. May God continue to favour us.

I'm really confused at the moment, i have submitted 2 years visa applications for i and my children and made payment, but we need to submit this application together and i see flexi appointment ? does this mean we all have to each pay that amount ? 117.20 pounds each? any one with this experience, need response urgently . thanks

You don't need to pay the extra money for flexi. Simply select the same date and time for everyone in your family. You have to search and make sure everyone has the same date and time. If you can't find, then you will need to pay

choose same date for biometrics… even if the times are different, they will allow you all to enter as long as it’s same date
