What if someone takes like 10K from a CC and leaves the country. What will the Cc coy do?

Do they factor this into their risk analysis before approving the individual or how do they then make profit?

their insurance will pay.
All sorts of insurance in this country, rent insurance for landlords, mortgage protection insurance for borrowers, credit risk insurance, loss of income insurance, porn stars insure their assets, and so forth.
credit card companies make money from retailers, merchants, i.e. the places where you use your credit card to buy things.
so even if you pay off your balance in full every month and never pay a penny to them in interest, they still make money in settlement fees as long as you use the card.

Reason why Amex is not very popular with merchants - their fees are higher than Mastercard and Visa (and maybe that's why they are freer with dashing people credit limits). Visa and Amazon fought over settlement fees this year, and eventually settled.

The euphoria that comes with being given credit grin grin. It's very enticing because unlike debits, where you see money leaving your account, you don't feel it so much because it was never yours, to begin with until it's time to pay it back.
Students with unstable jobs have to be really careful sha.

True that and that is the danger of it

They do and remember that they also have good insurance package that will take care of such case

People do take loan/CC/ expense mobile contract and do a runner but its pointless doing that because at the long run you are likely to get caught.

Nothing will happen is the reality ...however who knows if you leave and later come back then it might be waiting for you. You never know what will bring you back.....but if you don't come back the bank will adjust it and add to their bad debt written off

You can do that, but NEVER return...... If you do, they would keep chasing you......

In the interim, you would have a CCJ waiting for you..... When you return and buy a property, if within 6 years, the debt would be pegged on the property, bailiff visits, they would continually sell the debt on, so letters would never stop and could eventually be pegged to insurance payouts, upon death attached to your estate etc etc etc

Plus you lose your access to cheap credit....... Just hope you don't return......... cheesy

Hello,

Please, I need directions on buying a car (a used one)? I don't have much knowledge about cars. I'm currently preparing for the theory tests.
I've been checking out some on Facebook marketplace, gumtree and Autotrader. Is it safe to buy from there or are there garages?

Budget is around £1000. Thanks

Ive never being afraid to be in a minority, especially when the minority is right, for the minority which is right, often one day, becomes the majority.

Goto cards and select it. See the options it gives you. On Revolut, I know generating cards is via the card option, so try it out on this app.

Viruses:

This is it, nothing like digital card. The only option for card is to make an order. Can you provide further guidance please?

Are there really reliable 1k cars?
Or is it the type that I'll use new car money to repair over the coming months/years?

Hi UK2020,
IThanks for this comprehensive writeup. It's an eye opener which proves that cert + training/internship can get you the job. Please can you be kind enough to mention the IT recruitment firm that offers training with internship/job offer in UK. Looking forward to your reply. Regards.

Go to Indeed and search "paid training" in the search bar. No need to add a location. Then filter the results

I found the posting above in less than a minute. There are other firms out there recruiting all the time. take you time and search for them. You will find training for business and technical consultants. from Business analysis, Software Testing, Cloud Engineering, etc.

Most of these training firms will require you to have at least a degree in any subject
A BRP valid for more than 2 years (But there's no harm in trying if you don't have but I strongly doubt if they will accept)
If you have done some IT courses on Udemy, Coursera, etc. You'll have an advantage.

The link above is just an example. Never heard of them until today.
If you meet the criteria (You'll have to provide evidence) above and you are highly motivated, I can refer you to where I am currently working. I won't want to recommend someone that will reflect negatively on me so you need to be very sure of yourself.

Good luck!
