use 125sek/hr for 20hrs a week as your calculation. Some jobs pay higher

U can drop your calculations as well

How many hours can a student work in a week

Hey, I just noticed Nairaland deleted the post. Even the one I sent yesterday. DO they have a new rule I broke?
Get your kids passport now and apply together for everybody, it is easier. I realised I could only do that from here only when I have personnummer. And my personnummer took about 4 months to be issued (Stockholm matter, I learnt outside stockholm it's quicker). It's not up to one month I got my Swedish ID card. You can get their permit, and then bring them later. But the money in account that should take care of them needs to be considered as well.

The Resident permit is work permit.

Sir how is the work there and how many hours can a student work in a week

Possible but not advisable. You may end up getting your RP in October. Try and apply first week of June.

ON ARRIVAL: ARLANDA AIRPORT

Arlanda airport is the most popular airport in Stockholm, as perceived by me -that's the only one I've used anyway. The second is Bromma, I've been there but never flown through it. The essence of this post is to help you spend less on commuting in stockholm, if you wish.

To enter in and out of Arlanda airport you have to pay a special fee. I guess all new time travellers coming into Stockholm through the airport paid it, but you can avoid it, and that's the reason I write.

Ordinarily, you get to pay the special fee if you are using the train (pendaltåg), to head to the central station or Upsala.  But if you are taking a taxi from the airport, then you don't have to pay the fee, but the taxi fare is on you.

The cheapest way to deal is to board the SL bus from the airport.  There are other busses you will be introduced to if you ask, and they are not cheaper. It's possible nobody will mention SL (nobody mentioned it to me).

To board the SL bus, you still have to pay anyway, but the pay seems to be the least of all. If you have an SL card, then you could buy a monthly or weekly ticket and travel around as you like. You can do that with the app too.

When I came in, I paid the fee and the gate was opened for me to go down the subway and board the train to Stockholm central station. Then each day I went out I bought a ticket (38kr) that expired after 1.5hrs or so. You know what that means when you are going out to come back later than 1.5hrs, like going to school, it means you'll spend at least 76kr  in a day, it can be more.

On 2 occasions I had to talk to the SL staff to let me pass because the ticket expired like 5mins before and I no wan buy another one to carry me back. When searching for accommodation as a newcomers,  na there you go see how the movement dey be, unless you're just lucky.

So, back to the matter. Ask for where the bus is and be specific that you want to go to the SL bus stand. If they tell you they don't know, then ask where to board a bus, if they show you the way to one 'express' something, then head that direction,  and when you get to where you should climb up, take your left and go down the escalator instead. But if you go miss your way, insist on where to get bus 583 going to Märsta (pronounced as ma-sh-ta). You will go to Märsta first before you move further with the train.

You need the SL card and buy monthly ticket (student ticket is discounted at 650kr, while normal is 970kr).  In my next post I'll share what you need to know about the tickets and how to get it as a student.

Hello Guys,

Please am asking for my friend.... He just received his resident permit at Abuja embassy day before yesterday. the card says it will expire on 19th may 2023. He has been doing a 3 years BSC program . 2 years has been conducted online due to covid 19 and travel restrictions and now he has only one year left to finish his program.

Now he wants to travel next month, but his confused about getting his personal number in Sweden. if he travels next month (June) he will have 12 months remaining in his card. Do you guys think he will get his personal number when he arrives in Sweden next month? He has one year remaining to finish his 3years BSC program.

Please i need replies, he will be reading at the comment section. Thank you Guys for the support

Of course he will get a personnummer, so long as he has a valid RP. It takes between few days and 18weeks to get it. He may be lucky and fall on the few days side.
But seriously, this question get as e be. So if we say they won't give him personnummer, what will he do? Not come to finish his studies? This is a research that ought to be done long ago, even before applying for RP. All the best.

What are the most likely mistakes that student make when applying for a RP? Or why are people denied RP after paying tuition fee?

Good Afternoon everyone.
Gurus in the house,I just discovered this handle. Looks like admission period is over or is there a possibility of applying now?

Do all school ask for application fee?
I would appreciate response.
Thank you
Re: Swedish Admissions And Student Visa by Mobil567: 1:01pm On May 16, 2022
you can apply but it will be considered a late application and you may not get a response soon. Check if there are still universities still open for your program and consider the possibility of getting your transcript sent from your school asap (if you are going for Msc).

The fee is 900kr/ approx 90 euros and it covers 4-8 schools depending on the program you are going for.
