The last time I had ishapa was late 90’s / early 00’s . Ishapa cooked with egusi goes really well with pounded yam…… If God come bless u make u put eja kika, crayfish and maybe stock fish inside the ishapa….: mehn na heaven on earth.

For those that don’t know, ishapa is the white hibiscus flower (the white version of zobo flower). It is sun dried and then soaked in warm
Water when u want to use it for the soup. See attached picture for your attention

Next time, buy one with label eg from this company. I get almost all my legumes from them.
No stone or weevil. Get my tigernut from them too. Very good. Maize flour name them, I get from them unless I go to African shop and get made in Ghana. I don't bother buying stuffs that come from Nigeria cos I know my people

Or from tropical sun. I think its Ghanaian company

This is the recipe however, fine tune to suit our taste by using 2/3 cup of sugar, 1.5 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 cup of unsalted butter.
