Please what helpful advice can you render?

I got married to my husband who is currently a student in Saskatchewan early last year.

On the 16/4/2021 I submitted my spouse open work permit and on the 21/4/2021, I did biometrics. I haven’t gotten a medical request from the Embassy yet. My husband refused to allow me access to the account he used in filing this application for me as he only has the password to the account he created and only him can access it. I can only receive mails although I know my application number, IRCC number and other relevant info but he said he has canceled the application and I am yet to be notified of the cancellation via mail.

My husband traveled back shortly after our wedding and since then, he has completely abandoned me here in Nigeria. He informed me that he has canceled my application for no reason and he said he is about to get married to another lady while his marriage with me is still valid.

I haven’t heard from him since last year and I do not know my fate concerning my pending application.

Is there any way you can help me check the status of my application if I provide the relevant info and what are the steps I can take concerning my predicament.

Yes you can.

I feel sorry for you on your present predicament. If seems you got married to me after he travelled to Canada. Or did he use you as home tie in form of common-law-partner?
I suspect the guy might have been told some negative things about your faithfulness when he came last time. On your question, there is no way you can go ahead with the application since the sponsor ( your enstraged husband) has cancelled the application. His sponsorship is the pillar of that application. Look for family members to settle your matter with him, and if not successful, move on with your life.

Have you gotten a response concerning your kids' application?.
Did you submit a letter of parental consent to IRCC when you submitted their application?
If No, let your husband write a letter of consent duly signed with a copy of his international passport and send it through webform and mail to IRCC. This might be the reason why the kids have not received their ppr. Because I had this same experience, when my study visa was approved, I expected my son's visit visa ppr to also drop but nothing, after countless of emails, I received a response requesting the consent letter. Two days after the letter was sent, my son's ppr dropped.

I submitted application for SOWP for myself and study for my 2 kids on January 25.

May 5th my SOWP was approved but nothing for the children. On my application it shows background check and eligibility as on going and the final decision is your application is approved. They have also sent the letter that i should send my passport for the visa.

Please what can i do to make the children's application be released on time.
We have all done our medicals.

I’ve seen tons of applications where eligibility was done at all yet they got PPR

Nobody told him anything about me. He said he thinks I’ll get him into trouble because according to him, “I’m very smart”. He said some things but faithfulness isn’t one of them.
I have actually removed my mind but just wanted to know the state of my application out of curiosity.

Do you know the username of the account? or can you check the very first email you received from IRCC when the acct was created? It seems you do receive emails from IRCC, maybe you can use the forgotten password option and reset the password to the account with your email. so sorry about this.

Oh he definitely booked only the biometrics with your email...just forget the account, your email was never used. He used your email only for the vfs biometrics booking.

I don't have an idea because IRCC is unpredictable. When did you submit your application? is it SOWP?
No one knows the time frame especially when it's an upfront medical, just be hopeful and pray more for divine favour on your application.

My husband is on a study permit in Canada.Canada processing time from IRCC website revealed that spouse open work permit will take 49 weeks to process from Nigeria while it will take 139 days to process from inside Canada.
Visitors' visas will take 92 days to process from Nigeria.
However,my husband informed me that I cannot work in Canada with a visitors' visa because I cannot process a Social Insurance Number with it and that means I will be unemployed in Canada for more than 5 months if I decide to go for the Visitors' visa from Nigeria and later apply for a work visa from inside Canada.
Kindly advise on the better option.

Apply for visitor if you like your mental health.

Note that visitors visa have higher rejection rate compared to SOWP

No hating, just an observation. Seeing PPR from applicants who applied in late 2021, 2022 or months after April or May 2021 applicants. Makes me wonder what's up with IRCC? are files selected randomly because honesty it doesn't seem fair.
There are news from IRCC that they are working on Backlogs...but is Nairobi exempted? it seems like a bias or tactic to make people withdraw and reapply without refund.
