I do not support Arsenal signing Tammy Abraham. Instead of signing Abraham we should give Nketiah a new contract and sign another striker of a different mould . I’ve seen enough of Tammy Abraham at Chelsea and I’m not a fan of his to the extent of wishing we sign and make him our top 9 .

Not jumping around the internet with pessimism , trolling ur club and hoping for the worst.

100% no questions asked. The kid has been playing injured for quite some time now, I know my boy well well and I have been saying it since February. Arteta and the coaching staff are aware and are still forcing him to play 90 minutes of football, which he is struggling to see out. Over the last 5 games, how many times have we watched Saka just drop to the ground or unable to finish 90 because his body could no longer go? There is no reason Saka should be playing the amount of consecutive games he has played this season, especially when you consider he did the same thing last season to save Arteta from getting sacked.

This is the same thing the coaching staff did with Partey when he had the 1st hamstring injury, the only difference is that Saka is younger while Partey is experienced and can stick to his guns. Remember Arteta forced Partey back, he ended up aggravating the original hamstring injury and was out for longer. Arteta did the same thing immediately after Partey returned from AFCON. Man played the previous day, got on the plane immediately after Ghana were eliminated and was listed as a starter the following day..Well, we have not seen him since then...I mean, come on!

True... I've been watching Saka play recently and I noticed the guy isn't as sharp as he normally was. This is one of the main reasons to have quality depth in his side cos it'll be saddening to see him burnout at a very very young age

Though, as an arsenal fan I don't support it.
But mehn, for him to decide on release clause, it means he's even having doubts about the direction of the club undecided

Exactly for a player that know the in and out of the football club management to do that it speak alot
Then someone will come here to tell us improvement they and we should support the manager

I noticed for the sake of blaming whomever we the fans want to blame, we always see things the way we only want to see it. I think it’s misleading to say we didn’t plan for Tierney’s and Partey’s injuries .

Everyone knows Partey and Tierney are injury prone players . Did the club plan a backup for them in the event they are out injured ?

Yes ! While the DWL people were doing their thing Arsenal signed Tavarez as a backup plan for our Tierney . Lokonga on the other hand was brought in to be backup for Partey ( I know u may find this funny or ridiculous at this time , but attached to this post is actually a screenshot of an article that confirmed it as a fact )

That those two didn’t live up to the high expectations the management had in them certainly does not mean the management didn’t plan, it just means the plan didn’t work out well.

What we should be demanding now is for the club to look at the areas we are lacking and bring in quality signings that don’t necessarily be big names or big money signings .
Thank goodness you know I find it ridiculous that Lokonga was backup to Partey cos I knew about him when I was asking for Partey's replacement. Everyone who followed knows that Arsenal dominance really started when we shifted to 433 with Partey as a lone DM. I extensively talked about how it made arsenal dominate teams due to Partey's quality and how we might falter without his quality as nobody is capable of that and not even Lokonga whose body frame and quality can't even handle such role.
Most people talked about it too and that's why we asked for quality additions in January for our top 4 push. It's all about quality and not just having anybody and hoped it'll just work out. The club took a big and massive risk on Partey's fitness and it backfired spectacularly.
Thinking that Lokonga will replace Partey in that role at crucial stages of the season is even more ridiculous on its own.

Hope it's no longer Wenger deja vu we're repeating again?
1.Sign young players,
2.improve them,
3.tell fans they should trust the process,
4. Players become stars and look for better
club due to them not fully buying the club's process
5.. we get top4 (but probably top 6 this time) and the cycle repeats and continues.

I just hope not sha, cos If Saka of all people is asking for release clause then Mehnn, na long road for us

Reason why I'm using experience and tacts amongst both coaches. That itself isn't speculative
They are speculative because they are subject to change.

Mourinho is experienced but where is he now?

Knowing the injury history of Partey and Tierney since they joined Arsenal, we did not need a soothsayer to predict they were going to go down, especially when you consider their usage and how many times they hit the red line because of burnout.

We are witnessing the same thing with Saka, who is now struggling to stay on his feet to finish 90 minutes every game, thank God the season is over. While Saka is a more talented player and the GOAT (anybody wen disagree should argue with the wall next to you), I would hate for what happened to Rashford and Owen to happen to Saka. Both players burned out early because of high usage early in their respective careers.
Anyone can get injured and anyone can be injury free irrespective of history. Plus it wasn't like Arteta did not make a genuine effort to get backups, we can not know the restrictions or limitations he may have had in terms of getting the right men or resources. The major issue he had was that of lack of depth, but he has shown that he would rather take nothing than take rubbish. Quality over quantity.

You see me, as e deh like this, na top 6 I dey hope on us from next season. If we don't make top4 this season, na Europa I go dey pray make we carry from next season in order to secure UCL. It's not about us wishing the club bad, it's about me being a realist. If the club exceeds my expectations next season, then I'm all for it grin

I'm talking about those who are at their best, Conte and Tuchel.

Absolutely.

Arteta has said he wants to get quality backup. He would prefer an 18man squad of quality players than 30 full of deadwoods. The overhead cost implications are even the same. Quality over quantity.

Good I like the quality over quantity too
So let's start with defense, the defenders this season conceded more than last season with a game to go
Have we improve or not in defense

Did Tuchel and Conte just became the best coaches? No. They had their grooming time. Allow Arteta to grow please. He is the youngest coach in PL. Allow him to learn. Besides he is not doing bad for me. The problem with us is that we always tend to forget the initial main meal course and feel disappointed when served with little appetizers.

With what I have seen this season, we are on course. I believe the club will invest in quality players to boost the squad so that no matter the injury we will always have men that will hold the fort.

The improvement in set piece defending tells it all. No need to write thesis.

By the way, would you approve Gabriel Magallanes to Juventus? They are bidding 40m. undecided

Of course the price is good but that will mean we will get another CB which I don't want since we have other departments to sort.
I read Dino is finally a stuggart player, I lost one CB already

How many defenders have we sold for that amount? There's improvement.

Next season we hope Saliba will return and we will be better. Apart from the LB position other areas have been fortified.

Midfield and attack is where Mikel and Edu will have to focus on.

I heard we just signed a winger.

U seem to get my point a little bit different . Going into the season we signed Lokonga to deputize for Partey or whoever is out of our 2 CM’s , prior to Partey’s injury we’ve not had to call on Lokonga to do that very work. When Partey was out Lokonga was called upon and he turned out to be a disappointment . Now that’s not on Arteta or the board (maybe a little on them sha ) because they didn’t have the foresight to know he will turn out to be a disappointment .

I think going forward they’ve learnt their lessons and should get more right fit players for our system .
