Are you saying the northerners might be responsible for the crime?

Yes na

Here in Abuja, all petty theft and stabbings are carried out by people called babanbola. They re all northerners. They stab people at will and steal at will these days

It's not a bad idea to relocate for your mental health(cos of flash back). But make sure you do your research before you move to that new location, So that it would not be a case of frying pan to fire.

No where is safe in this naija my brother.
Just last week armed robbers snatched a car from a brigadier general in Abuja.
Tell the landlord to fortify the house and get one small pistol keep.

My rented apartment was burgled last week and this happens to be the first ever since the house was built.

My flat not the first, but they ignored others and start with mine, and they gone away with valuables worth million before they burgled other occupants of the house and left with some valubles too.

So I'm currently planning to move to another safer place. The owner of the house said I should provide new Tennant that he will refund some part of my money.

The agent who's bringing them already knows why I want to leave but he's telling, I'm moving out because or work transfer.

My concern now is that, i don't know the security situation of where I'm going because agents lies too much. Could it be it's going be from frying pan to fire for me. Should I stay back to put our street security in order, or I should move out?

Hi area is safe. If they robbed u, chances are they won’t come back anytime soon as they know they have taken what u have. Make a deal with the landlord to upgrade the locks of the place, maybe put protectors

As it stands, as we lock the main gate, the burglary, then the main door, before a robbery will be successful where I stay, one of them must have gone down... because the place has nowhere to run actually.

Always rent a place with good doors, gates, and burglary...I mean iron-made.

whoever robbed u knew u had valuables in ur possession or flat. they have been monitoring u. They will want to strike again when they finish wasting their loot.

The security in that street or estate is obviously weak or compromised for them to strike and what makes u so sure its the 1st time since the agents are liars??

Any new place u go to check the type security guards and equipment deployed on the street, other streets around also or the estate.

Leave that useless place immediately.

No place is safe in this country. Stay put where you're and improve the security if you can. The whole of Nigeria is porous. Wish you safety where ever you're

If they did not rob your neighbors, then they are the informants. It’s a way of taking from your pool of plenty especially if they see you are well to do. Have a meeting with your neighbors and ask them how they cope, paint a picture of a struggling man and always cooperate with them on contributions. Do things that will make them accept and protect you. Thieves don’t keep track of new tenants. It is the neighbors that do and inform thieves. Also, get a dog, sharpened cutlass and a loud panic alarm system with pepper spray. All this can deter or keep them away too.

As you become a man and start renting an Apartment to house your Valuables, the very first thing is Security. We all know the Security of A area is left in the hands of the people, reason why Vigilante is present in various communities...
Any place you are packing to make sure there is the presence of Vigilante or men around are willingly to safe guard in turns...

You have to know what you are saying, before you say something you have to understand the statement, he said armed robbers, who are armed robbers?
luwiizy:
Next time before relocating, try to make friends with the sellers around like aboki, in the neighborhood. Whenever you visit.

They know more than you can ever imagine

There is poverty everywhere, those who have will always be at the risk of the have-nots. Soon you will realise that making money is not enough to live a decent life in a mad environment.

Happy One Nigeria.

The Intel behind the robbery knows you well and there is a 50% chance that you know the person.

Like someone said, always ask around before moving in to an area
