which school did you choose in jamb?

Bro i choosed Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo (AE-FUNAI) in Ebonyi state Though for aspirant to be eligible to write post utme in the school, such person must have scored up to 250 and above in jamb examination. Nah one mark spoil everything for me.

The federal university in my state (unizik) their departmental merit cut off mark seems to be in the range of 310.5 ..thats why i didnt choose it

Bro irrespective that AE FUNAI is a new school it has gotten its full accreditation from the Mdcn and Nuc. Do your research well.

Change to a state university like Delsu etc, do extremely well in their pume like scoring 75+ and you stand a good chance.
*Bro i heard that Delsu consider more of their indigenes than non indigenes how true is that?

*what`s the nature of their post utme and how can i get the past questions and answer?

Do you know of COOU (formely Anambra state university) ?

* As long as you do well in pume, they will admit you. Don't forget non indigenes will pay higher school fees as such they will definitely admit non indigenes.

* For the nature of Delsu pume
You will answer a total of 100 questions. 50 of these questions will be drawn from all facets of life. In other words, general paper. You will also see 25 questions from the English language and 25 from the Aptitude test.
Questions from aptitude tests will test your knowledge on coding, number series, the odd one out, and logical reasoning.
Questions from the English language will test your knowledge of anagrams, analogy, smile, idiomatic expression, antonym, and synonym.
The rest of the questions will be drawn from current affairs.
You will have only 60 minutes to do justice to all questions.

* I don't know about COOU (formely Anambra state university) for now.
Alright chief, i am extremely grateful for your kind of words.

Bro changing your school is quite okay as long as you can ace their postutme or meet the school special pre requisite requirement.
One crazy things about we aspirant is that we tends to have a taste of choosing a school that is very competitive and has large applicants attached to small alloted quota of theirs when pursing mbbs. Know your strength and weakness, don`t choose a school because your friend choose and this has done many aspirant more harm than good. My point here is that you should be wise, change to a school that you can easily beat their department merit cut off mark or it previous.

Guys, Am considering changing from UNIPORT to RSU.

You have to look at your options bro. Seems like you're beginning to grow cold feet concerning UNIPORT. I don't really know much about their PUTME, but if you're certain you can ace it, why don't you give it a try? Just believe in yourself and start earnest prepping soonest. If I recall rightly, you had 300+, all you need to aim for is 85 and you're in.

On RSU, if you have no issues with paying their school fees which I suppose should be more expensive than UNIPORT's, no qualms then. At this point, I guess you've got to make the decision. My advice is: sit for UNIPORT's PUTME first if it comes earlier than RSU's, and pray it does. Aim for the best, solve their PQs and link up with other aspirants and seniors (Donpre and Chukwukapromise are in already). I understand some scary talks and 'what ifs' are beginning to get to you (been there before). But just give UNIPORT all your shots and get in. RSU or some other school could be a plan B if otherwise happens and I pray it won't. Finally, commit it all to God. Tell Him to crown your efforts with success. Believe deep down that He owns your school of choice and He definitely cannot fail to pave way for His own son. Dunno if you're following, I don't mean to preach to you. There sure is enough time to prepare adequately for the PUTME. Please play your part and you will have the last laugh

Just my piece of advice to a brother in need.

It's well with you. cry I thank God I listened to my parents and accepted my Human Anatomy admission then instead of waiting for mbbs admission. It was 8 years after secondary school I eventually got mbbs admission.. Imagine if I didn't have a degree. Congratulations on getting Physiotherapy admission... I'm proud of you and I'm happy for you! smiley
Doc, for an aspirant who is exactly in the same shoes as yours then vying for medsurg or nothing before accepting the course given to him/her due to low jamb scores.
What will you tell such a person? Especially those that hardens their heart and refuse to accept. But having a degree before coming back to study medicine, is it the best?

gotten from the MDCN website. AE FUNAI is not even among the partially accredited schools.

Imo state university is not accredited for medicine but is on your list of accredited schools. Don't you think that website is fake? Or outdated? For the record, I am from imo state.

Is it the same Delsu I know or another?. If it is the same, then you are wrong sir. Delsu does not set 100questios, it's 50, divided into verbal and quantitative reasoning. And please, with a score of 249, Delsu is the last school you should advise him to change to,I'm 101% certain he won't get in with such score.
