"No amount of fasting, prayer, day & night vigil..... Would drop this visa........ " I can't believe somebody actually made this comment. I couldn't stop laughing when I came across the comment on nairaland. Psalm 127:1 Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. What God cannot do does not exist. A friend of mine just got a visa without using her personal account, she used her father's account and she is twenty-seven years old. Do your best and leave the rest to God. Fast and Pray fervently. Be honest and don't think of overstaying your visit. 5 Likes |

babyfaiz: is it a visit visa? Is it renewal or first time applicant? Also where did you do your biometrics? Wishing you the best as you get your travel docs. Like others said… since you didn’t get a refusal mail, you most likely to have a visa stamped on your passport Have u gone for pick up and how was it? |

Good evening everyone, please can someone that does not have much IT skills do well in global marketing and communications? I have been applying for admissions without success only for me to try for this one and an offer came. Someone who really knows about the course should please respond |

Africankel: I've just received a refusal mail. Unfortunately the reasons given are not accurate. I've requested for administrative review immediately.
The decision
I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph(s) V 4.2 – 4.10 of Appendix V because:
You state that you plan to visit the UK for 10 days tourism visit.
I note that you were previously issued a visa but each application is assessed on its own merits and any information submitted.
You state that you are self-employed, you earn 6000000.00 NGN (£11,400 on Oanda.com current exchange rates) per month with no additional income stated. You have monthly living costs of 135000.00 NGN (£256.50) and propose to spend 700000.00 NGN (£1,330) on this visit.
You have provided information regarding your employment and your financial circumstances with a business and personal bank account information. I note the transaction history in your personal bank statement from Providus Bank (account number ending 3239), shows credits. However the supporting information does not demonstrate how these credits / deposits are linked to your declared source of income. This means that I am not able to verify the activity in your personal bank statement as income derived from your self-employment. The information provided therefore does not satisfactorily demonstrate the source of these funds.
From the information on your application form and the documents you have submitted, I am not satisfied that you intend to leave the United Kingdom or that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor. Your application is therefore refused under paragraphs 4.2 (a) and (c) of Appendix V of Immigration Rules for Visitors Is this a renewal ? Does your refusal letter indicates you have the right to administrative review ? How do you request for administrative review ? |

Is this a renewal ? Does your refusal letter indicates you have the right to administrative review ? How do you request for administrative review ? Yes, it's renewal. Refusal letter doesn't indicate that I have a right to administrative review, but sighting the errors from the visa officer, I've sent a complain raising these concerns. Same thing happened in 2020, I requested for a review and had the decision upturned, because it was established that the ECO indeed erred. 1 Like |

This is quite strange for someone renewing. I’m sensing somethings though. What’s the duration of your stay in your last visits? Did you actually quote 6m naira monthly and you’re spending 700k on your trip? Looks like granting visas to those who will not contribute to their economy is now a problem. It’s a trend that I’ve noticed with some renewals. Did you apply for 6 months or 2 years? |

jennyhumphrey: Let me start by recommending @sokotogudali's cover letter. It was very detailed and I followed the same format. The truth is I made a decision to visit UK on 1st April, I had no earlier plans prior to that date, my bank statements were a mess, so I decided to explain every single income in my account as recommended by sokotogudali . I explained every single income in my account and son's account. My travel budget was also more than two times of my monthly income but not up to three times. I included the following documents: 1. Employment letter with introduction letter 2. Letter of invite with passport page of invitee and utility bills 3. Marriage certificate 4. Letter of consent for my son ( I am travelling with my son) 5. Bank statements(savings, salary and domiciliary) 6. Utility bill of my residence. 7. Husband's passport page 8. Son's birth certificate and result from his 2nd term exam and 3rd term calendar 9. My son's statement of account indicating his dad has sent the sum for his travel ticket 10. Letter of consent and sponsor ship for my son 11. A lot of family photographs 12. My work payslip 13. My previous visas 14. A 5 paged cover letter explaining my travel itinerary, my bank statements, my other income apart from my salary.
Above all let's pray for God's favour. My warm regards to everyone making this thread lively and contributing their quota
please, was this 2, 5 or 10 years visa? |

I applied for 6 months this time. 2. I quoted N6m annually (that's 500k monthly), I wonder where they saw N6m monthly, when even on the application form, the question was "how much do you earn from this job every year". I stated this in the application and a cover letter. My bank statement also shows this figure (500k) as monthly salary deposits. Source of deposit is from my company account. All documents were submitted. 3. Budget for the trip is 700k. This was well outlined. |

I guess these guys are overwhelmed with many applications & they making inexcusable mistakes. The reasons the eco wrote doesn’t make any sense. You tick all boxes & your visa ought to be approved. No genuine reason at all. What again do they mean by credits/ deposits linked to your source of income? This is ridiculous. Did you submit your company’s bank statement? My thoughts is that …. they just need to turn some people down all in the name of making money. 6 months visa, spending 700k might be of no benefits to them economically. I would think maybe the decision could have been different if it were a 2 years visa & maybe you said you were spending 2 million. The UK needs money this period. |

Am guessing this is why/where they made an error on their part to refuse the application. Instead of working out your income as annual they see it as monthly, thus your finances didn’t make sense to them. I swear they could have asked you for more details since you have already been issues Visas in the past, this is so shady from them. 1 Like 1 Share |

I bet you it was just the annual income instead of monthly etc hence the “Credit/deposit” bit from them. Massive error on their part. They should have just asked if the 11k per month was indeed an error or not. |

Did you eventually find out the embassy that contacted your bank? If it was the UK embassy, then the problem could be from them assuming your yearly pay was monthly. I think your application was handled by an inexperienced eco |
