1) You getting the admission is 50/50 cos the admission requirement for a PG. in Software development would require a graduate of Computer Science, Software Engineering and related field or someone who has work experience in Software Development.

2) A PG program not related to your Academic background or Work Experience is still a wrong Academic & Career Progression, cos a Visa Officer won't see a connection with your previous education and work experience in relation to Software Development, and that could raise a red flag on your Visa Application.

Based on your good CGPA, a Visa Officer will expect you to go for a Masters in a Biological science related field e.g research focus Biological Science Masters Program like Computational Biology, Biomedical Science, Cancer & Immunology etc.

Await additional response from the gurus and other members

Thank you very much boss. My issue is that one. I will be landing in Canada as permanent resident so I don't have problem with visa officer

Hello gurus in the house. Please I have a few questions.
First if I am using a sponsor to apply for a visa and the sponsor has a company but he wants to sponsor personally. Does he still need to add his company account statement or just his personal account statement is enough and does he need to make them know he has a company.
Secondly if the applicant has transactions that looks like a lump sum. Let’s say 1m different times deposited but the funds are no longer available in the account does the account still need to explain and talk about the funds even when it’s no longer in the account.

Please house I need answers. Help biko

The visa officer making the final decision will most likely disregard and waive the interview. So this is a positive sign and congratulations in advance

You are welcome. Oh I see, you didn't talk about being a PR in your initial post, i actually thought you are going as an international student (study permit).

That's a good one for you, at least you gonna pay your tuition as a domestic student.

Due to the kind of program Software Development is, a PG.Cert might likely not suffice for you cos for the admission requirement, they will require you to have a previous education or work/technical experience related to Software Development or any other branches of Computer Science.

A Diploma in Software development at a college
should suffice for you since you are landing as a PR and looks like you are considering a career switch
.

Unfortunately I don't know of any college offering Software Development at Diploma level

You can try your luck on something, be on a look out for PG.Cert in Software development, you might be lucky to get admission there. To improve your chances to get the admission, do some Online short courses (free or paid) on Software Development/Software Engineering, add it to your Canadian Style Résumé and apply for a PG.Cert in Software development program at a college, you might get the admission by doing that.

Google and check out the following programs

PG. Cert, Enterprise Software Development
Humber College, Ontario

PG. Cert, Software Quality Assurance and Test Engineering
Conestoga College, Ontario

PG. Cert, Software And Information Systems Testing
Fanshawe College, Ontario

PG. Cert, Computer Software & Database Development
Lambton College, Ontario

Await additional suggestions from the house, also visit the LIVING IN CANADA thread and make some enquiries, you might get a based on experience information from there.

Good luck!!!!

Medicals are done in just 2 hospitals in Nigeria that is Qlife and IOM. You can use IOM Ikeja... it’s at Isaac John street close to the cantonment.

There are only two approved clinics by IRCC in Lagos you can do your upfront medicals

IOM at Isaac John Street, GRA Ikeja , Lagos

&

Q-life at Victoria Island, Lagos

So IOM Ikeja, Lagos is your only shot for Lagos Mainland

Please, i need advice on how to go about my visa application, especially concerning the proof of funds stuff.

My sponsor isn't related to me but is a huge close friend to my mum. And he is residing in Canada already. How do I go about the visa application so that i won't get rejected?

Any legitimate person or entity can be your sponsor in as much as you can prove relationship and explain beyond reasonable doubts the reason for sponsorship. This lies in how strong and constructive your SOP and documentation is.

Kindly refer to and read from part 1 of this thread in order to be loaded with the right information on how to apply for study permit: but let me summarize the process.

Visa application is a straight forward process that requires transparency and thorough documentation and explanations.

To begin, you must secure an admission and honour all the terms and conditions of the admission; after this, you can proceed to applying for study permit. After applying, you'll be asked to do biometric: you could wait to be asked to go for medical examination or do it upfront. After these processes, you must wait for a decision on your application. A decision can be given within days, weeks, months, a year or more depending on some factors and how complex your situation is.

You will need to ask questions on each step as you progress.
