I think Siemens transformed power generation in Egypt.

I don't know what happened to that contract after Buhari and Abba Kyari signed it.

Till date, no execution.

Good governance.

He managed the resources of the state prudently and left by billions of naira in the state account while leaving office.

His government provided basic needs to the people. Good roads, water etc

Just take a look at places like Igbo Ukwu the citadel of Igbo culture, zungeru where the amalgamation was signed and many other historical sites. The black man has a real problem.
Most especially Nigeria, other African countries are trying compared to Nigeria. giant of Africa
Some of these countries make lots of money from tourism unlike Nigeria that can't even preserve something for 1yr......Take National stadium for instance, it's nothing to write home about now.
Go to stadia in Europe and see the ones built even before our own still looking like brand new stadium.

All the more reason why he should visit such a country.....they're not that disimilar to Nigeria. Forget claims of Nigeria being in a 'democractic' dispensation. Nigeria is running a totalitarian/despotic system in all but name!

Peter Obi is there to study how they got things to work inspite of their overbearing and controlling centre...similar to Nigerias' own.

If Egypt can generate 66000 Megawatts of electricity, then Nigeria can do better without a failed APC government that succeeded in crumbling electricity capacity to 9MW
.

The best is to allow states or geopolitical zones generate, transmit & distribute power.
For instance: Akwa Ibom State &Rivers states has an Independent Power Plant with megawatts enough to distribute to the nearby states, but can't handle the functions of transmit&distribute cos of exclusive list power falls which is not helping us to have that much 24/7 power supply in this part of the country. Seriously we need restructuring.

Is he involved in any governmental position in Anambra currently? He was governor more than 7 years ago...
Somebody is showing he is ready to understand what it takes to improve a country, and the best some Nigerians can do is laugh at him. Na wah. Even if it's all for show, at least he's not just sitting in his living room receiving well wishers and visitors. Obi is bringing the kind of energy and task orientation we need, compared to any of the other candidates.

Maybe there's something to learn from the way they solved their Power, Education problems and how they plan
Egypt engaged Siemen and their local private construction and electricity companies to embark on rapid construction of large Electricity plants across the country. Sowere in his 2019 campaigned highlighted this programme and shared information across the internet.

The Nigeria government engaged Siemen and the same roadmap that was used in Egypt was shared with Nigeria and a plan to increase electricity from 4000 to 7000 to 11000 to 25000 in 5 years was present by Siemen but unfortunately or intentionally Buhari employed Nigeria power minister Saleh Mammanwho he sacked last year

Siemens Energy has successfully managed to boost Egypt’s power generation capacity by over 40 percent by connecting 14.4 gigawatts to the Egyptian national grid. This is enough power to supply over 40 million Egyptians with reliable electricity and provide a much-needed power to different industrial sectors.
Last year Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie was interview Merkel on this subject.

Why Power Supply Deal Between Nigeria, Siemens Has Not Been Successful—Merkel
https://thewhistler.ng/why-power-supply-deal-between-nigeria-siemens-has-not-been-successful-merkel/

Nigeria’s literature prize winner, Amanda Ngozi Adichie, has forced German Chancellor, Angela Dorothea Merkel, to give a clue on why the $2bn Siemens- Nigeria electricity deal signed in 2019 to help improve electricity generation for Nigeria’s over 200 million people has not achieved the 7,000 megawatts target after two years.

In July 2019, the Federal Government sealed a power deal with Siemens AG to increase Nigeria’s electricity generation to 25,000 megawatts (MW) in six years.

As of the time of signing the agreement, Nigeria’s electricity generation for its over 200 million population was a paltry 4,000 megawatts, while the country has a capacity of 12,000 MW.
But Merkel told Adichie that the issue with the project was tied to funding of the project.

This man is a joke.

Does he know what type of government they practise in Egypt?

It is like someone saying they will use Chinese way of reducing corruption to reduce corruption in Nigeria.

That Obi is one big hype job. How some people are not seeing how empty he is baffles me, and makes me understand that we can never get it right in this country.

He wants to study electricity generation in Egypt? To what ends?

Even if you get their secret, how will you use it in a country with a very unique, and retrogressive type of federalism?

Exactly. Egypt got Siemens to do the stuff for them, which made Nigeria go for Siemens too. But so far, we don't hear much about the deal.
