Hi folks, I have an issue and need your advice. We (my wife and I) paid for IHS and Visa fees a week ago and booked appointment for Biometrics. I used Gtbank Visa Dollar card to make payment and it was successful, I received debit alerts.

After a week I checked my bank account and noticed all the money used to pay for the Visa fees is now back in the account (I can see the total sum in the available balance).

It seems the payment has been reversed and I'm afraid that this might affect the Visa application and processing.

My wife has already done her Biometrics while mine is for next week. She's the main applicant while I'm the dependant.

Do you think this payment reversal might aftect the Visa process and if I'm to escalate it which of the parties should I reach out to, is it Tlscontact or the UK immigration?

Please what's the way forward.
Thanks.

Hmmm.....the kind jazz and soap wey u dey use...e be like say you go cut small for me ooooo.... grin

It's a glitch in the system that favored you...it's not uncommon....system audi will likely detect it later or maybe not

Hello, please I need some sort of advice.
I gained admission to study in Uk and will like to travel with my live in fiancée/unmarried partner. I am the main applicant and she will be my dependant. Do you think it feasible for us to get visa? I want us to go together.
This can be possible with lots and lots of proof. The best would have been to do a court marriage.

Congratulations on your twins. I would've advised she stay behind in Nigeria and have the babies except you have the funds to cover the care (remember the amount available to your dependent is key and she might not be able to work.

Hello

Yippee twins smiley

Who is the main applicant?

How far gone is she?

IHS is only for you and your born dependants not the ones still baking in the tummy

Giving birth in the UK doesn't add to anything, there is no citizenship by birth so it will depend on what she wants.

Bear in mind you might need to sort out things like passport when you are returning to Nigeria if you still decide to go to the UK

More information will hopefully help, again the decision is entirely you and yours to make

Cheers

Are you the one studying? If so that is cool. Let your wife apply for dependent visa. With dependant visa, your wife can still study full time.

Apply for dependant visa for her. She doesn't need to go back to Nigeria for everything. You can bring her mother/your mother or other female family member to help her with visitor visa. Visitor visa is cheap so don't waste money going back to Nigeria due to safety and flight costs.

Her dependant visa covers free child birth in the UK. Your twins will also get UK birth certificate. When registering them in school, hospital and many other amenities, they will be treated as UK Citizens due to the UK birth certificate.

Your children don't need to apply for visa if you give birth in UK. They only need visa if you plan to go out from the UK.

If your wife worked for 26 weeks before giving birth, she will get free money from the government. She can even work part time to benefit. This is called Maternity Allowance for nine months.

If your wife do not obtain visa now, she will pay hospital money in Nigeria. Very risky to give birth to twins in Nigeria due to poor medical facilities. You also need to apply for visa for the twins to come to UK. You will also need to renew the twins visa to avoid deportation.

You won't bear all this stress if your wife gives birth in UK.

VISA ALERT!!!

Application 2nd May
Biometric 5th May (3 child dependents TLS Abuja)
Transferred and received by DMC 5th May
NSF email for 2 dependants requesting for POF consent 24th May
Decision mail for applicant without NSF mail 9th June
Decision mail for the remaining applicants 16th June.

Seems Child visa is more stressful as they try to protect the children against possible trafficking and avoid litigations.

Alhamdullilah.
It is not easy waiting for visa. The tension and the anxiety but we thank God for everything.

It is better she come to UK to avoid unnecessary expenses.

Her dependant visa covers free child birth in the UK. The twins will also get UK birth certificate. When registering the twins in school, hospital and many other amenities, they will be treated as UK Citizens by people due to the UK birth certificate. Giving birth in UK does not lead to citizenship but many citizens still think so.

Once you start using visa to register your child everywhere, the children will be targeted and in school they will treat them as non citizens.

The children born in UK don't need to apply for any visa if you give birth in UK. They only need visa if they plan to go out from the UK.

If the wife worked for 26 weeks in UK before giving birth, she will get free money from the UK government. She can even work part time to benefit. This is called Maternity Allowance for nine months and it is not classified as public funds.

If the wife do not obtain visa now, she will pay hospital money in Nigeria. Very risky to give birth to twins in Nigeria due to poor medical facilities. They will also need to apply for visa for the twins to come to UK. They will also need to renew the twins visa every time before they become citizens in the UK. All these will be avoided.

Hello,

From my understanding, delivery will be covered by your wife's IHS

Your new borns will enjoy 3months free NHS and then after that you will need to pay the IHS for them to continue enjoying NHS services.

Whilst they are here they do not need to apply for visa however if you leave and need to re-enter then you need to pay visa fees and IHS for the remaining date left

Bear in mind please that you are not entitled to public funds and they are not citizens by birth.

Again the decision is yours

Others can add

Congratulations
