4) You can apply for a British Airways AMEX Credit card, It's pretty straight forward and their approval rate is very high at the moment.

You can use my link http://amex.co.uk/refer/nnAnnW9hPF?XL=MNMNS when applying and we both get bonus avios points.

5) You use https://www.experian.co.uk/ or https://www.equifax.co.uk/ to check for free for a period, but you may have to pay if you want to have continued access.

Please, do you know if people on student visas also qualify for this?

I don't intend to use the credit. Just want to build my score, so I don't want to risk a hard check on my score for nothing.

Can't you pay with a debit or credit card?

Hi everyone. My wife and baby are trying to apply for a Nigerian passport. However, we need to buy a postal order to proceed with the application. Do we need to purchase two postal orders or one postal order can be used for both of them? Thanks

Your brother, your daughter's uncle, your sister or brother in laws are part of your immediate family. When you select the option you will be prompted to define the relationship further.

Alexia20:
Hello family, for those that are have filled a dependant visa application for their spouse and children ,what is the correct answer to this question assuming I have a brother living in uk and I am filling this for myself to join my wife in uk .
Question : Is my brother part of my family in that context, yes or no? ( as brother is not listed among the inclusion marked red in image below)
what about if I am filling the same application for my daughter ,my brother who automatically happen to be her uncle ,is he part of her family in same context ,Yes or no .
Thanks

They don’t ask for Bank statements during PSW Visa Application. The things that would stop anyone from getting their PSW approved are; having a criminal record whilst studying, Working above the approved hours or failing your course woefully. Also, the quarterly limit for maintenance/upkeep is £2,900 and with some banks it’s less than that. No Nigerian bank will give you £6,500 unless you are paying for your school fees directly to the school.

True... However, the limit varies per Bank. £2,900 is probably for your Bank. Keystone used to give £2,100 MONTHLY, while Fidelity still gives £3,500 quarterly. Some Banks give more.

I guess what's left is 'when' #implement

[Extract]
All tenants to be moved onto a single system of periodic tenancies, meaning they can leave poor quality housing without remaining liable for the rent or move more easily when their circumstances change. A tenancy will only end if a tenant ends or a landlord has a valid reason, defined in law

I'll say valid reason defined in law is somewhat subjective, however, it connotes some certainty and is peremptory.

[Extract]
Levelling Up and Housing Secretary Michael Gove said:
For too long many private renters have been at the mercy of unscrupulous landlords who fail to repair homes and let families live in damp, unsafe and cold properties, with the threat of unfair ‘no fault’ evictions orders hanging over them.

Our New Deal for renters will help to end this injustice by improving the rights and conditions for millions of renters as we level up across the country and deliver on the people’s priorities.

If you're renting, read new white paper....... Tenants have better protection now ......

Currently have a job offer and about to start the visa process. Do I file for my spouse as a dependent? He already has a 5yr UK visiting visa. Pls educate me on the pros and cons in the long run.

Thank you.

Hello my people
Please, when is the right time to buy flight ticket for December . I checked Cheapflight.com and the cheapest there is Rwandair follow by Egyptair. The latter has one check-in baggage which I think is not enough.

Thanks for your reply

Place needed is just a studio / 1 bdr

I will check out the places listed

Do you live in Leeds?

@hustla There are lots of places in leeds depending on budget, if the person is a student then headinley/hyde park would not be a bad area, (although hyde park has some dodgy areas) close to most leeds uni's. Like someone earlier said seacroft, whimoor and even middleton are close to center and decent rent. Spareroom, zoopla, rightmove are you best bet to getting a place(if you look hard enough you will see some city center studio apartment for £450). For a lower budget one can rent in bradford which is a bus ride to leeds city center(20- 30 mins). Options abound depending on the size of the pocket.

Do you know any good websites to get data analyst gigs?

@specialenvoy.. The usual suspects totaljobs, indeed, cv library, you can also register on data careers. e.g Jobserve is one of the go site for contract roles too. See below request for temporary data analyst(fully remote) on cv library..main requirement is excel skill, low rates but one can leverage it to get better roles.
would have pasted the link but dont want to get banned

My question no 2 is if I move from England to Wales, will it affect my post study ? I believe all are in UK but need to verify. I signed up for some jobs and they have better rates in Wales so I am considering that since the rent is same and I am done with course work.
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by semmyk(m): 8:03pm On Jun 18, 2022
Short ans. Nope. UK == (NI, Scotland, England, Wales)
Only thing perhaps will be if your study is affected while on student permit (former Tier 2)

Sure, you qualify especially if you have a part-time job you are doing. A student I know just applied today and got a £1000 credit limit.

Even if he had a 10 year visit visa he can not stay more than 6 months per visit, can not work, can not study, will always be classed as a visitor every time in the UK, if he avails medical treatment asides a and e he will need to pay etc check google
While on skilled worker dependent visa can work, can study, can stay for as long as your work permit is allowed, after paying health surcharge can avail medical treatment to a large extent, will be seen as a temporary resident etc check google

Whatever you do, don’t state in your mom’s application that she is coming to babysit for you

Please, can a salary of 18-19k qualify for a skilled worker visa. The position is for a medical laboratory assistant and the post says those requesting sponsorship can also apply. I am confused because it is lower than the required rate from gov dot UK and I have been coming across similar vacancies.

You might be better of on the UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa thread: https://www.nairaland.com/6748312/uk-skilled-worker-visa-health
Quick one on web developer. When on the skilled worker thread, you might need to be more explicit on your skill set. Web developer is broad although I might understand you implying full stack web developer. Even at that a hint of PHP, Perl, Ruby, Python ...
All the best.
