When looking for parts, it is in ur best interest to go by parts number. You try and match part number from whatever part u want to replace........ You need to go back to few pages . to understand what am saying....


Now few years ago . A Nigerian Hyundai Tuscon 2011 0r 2012 can't recall the exact year. The Tucson was bought brand new from Dana Motors. The a/c compressor was bad and needed replacement.

Keep in mind the Dana tuscon is a different engine from the USA spec .. So I was able to match the parts number from the Dana Nigerian Tucson to the USA parts.. It was the exact number.........

During installation the USA spec could not fit exactly in the engine bay area . it was by an inch or so and it was too tight tob sit in the engine bay area . so the mechanic was able to construct a small space for it to fit.. And the a/c worked ...

My theory here is because the Dana Tucson engine size is much smaller than the USA .. So it was an issue of having enough space. Again both a/c compressor have the same part number.......

So now am trying to prevent the same issue from happening to the 2017 accent....

Again young man, when looking for parts you don't by the compatibility bullshit.. You take the old part number that needs replacment and match it with the new replacement . this method will leave no room for errors ........

Oga andrew, Dana motors does not sell Tucson. Na ix35 them dey sell. So na you dey at fault for buying a Tucson compressor for an ix35

I just chatted with the person that bought the compressor for the owner of the Tucson...... Now whether it was bought from Dana Motors or not ....

But the most important thing was that it was not a USA spec ... That was the bases of the debate.......

Everyone here in cartalk think they know everything from their Oga all the way down to his errand boys .....

Experience is always a good teacher .. I talk from experience .....

When i had same AC issue, no seer told me before I ordered brand new Denso compressor from USA. Not even mechanic that repaired Woli Arole's car was able to convince me in switching to manual compressor...... Enjoying my money now to the fullest....
Rule no 1 in car maintenance: Run from kazeem that suggest manual compressor or direct fan connection
