You could as well tell us more about Axamansard insurance and all that we need to know here... Asking clients to contact you guys privately makes everybody to be very suspicious and extremely careful. So many fraudsters hovering around, looking for whom to devour.

Hello Everyone, hope you enjoyed the long holiday. Please what exactly is going on with Stanbic Mutual Funds, I noticed that the interest rate is abysmally low right now. This is how they will be making someone eye Fairmoney with 15% interest rate! I dont even want to go near any microfinance bank. I am very risk averse which is why I chose mutual funds but what is all these stagnancy of interest rates?

How can everything be this expensive in Nigeria and interest rates be this low?

The money I have in mutual funds will give me a generous fetching somewhere else but I have been burnt twice investing with unscrupulous Nigerians and there will not be a third time.

Is there any hope of resurrection for mutual funds or I should just go and start POS business?

Please any luminary here should kindly help. Thanks
To preserve your captial, you are better off leaving a huge chunk of it in the money market.

Everywhere is tight, except you can spare a little percentage of your total capital to take on High risk High yield investment but remember it could as well burn you.

Monetary policy rate is high, inflation rate is high but MMF rate is low. Nigeria is something else, we ought to be at 10% atleast

MMF rate will go up with time. As MPR goes up, Tbill rates for each tenor will be affected positively and that in turn cause MMF rates to rally up.

If you are looking long term, it's best you look at bonds and TBills. MMF rates fluctuats base on market conditions the best rate you see today could be the worst tomorrow. But with bonds, your rate is locked (same) for the whole duration you invested

You can try Stanbic IBTC balanced fund. I think the 3&5 years rates has been good.

Greetings all. I'm a newbie here.
Please can someone tell me more about Stanbic money market fund?
What's the current rate and the holding period?
After maturation, would the interest and capital be paid at the same time? Or would the capital be reinvested and interest paid on a monthly basis?

Please someone should clear me before I invest.

As in! The thing tire me no be small. Though rates are climbing marginally, it's still far too low to make any sense.

For me, reasonable rates (11-14% at very least) would put more money in our pockets and help reduce the mad rush for dollars . . .

For those looking for high interest rate, you can try FBN Quest Bond fund. The interest is between 10% and 10.5%. I think this is better than the present rate of MMF. DD required.

Elders, please which of these MMFs would your recommend: Stanbic MMF or ARM MMF or Union Capital MMF?
Best rate wise, and considering the fact that I would be needing the fund back by October. Thanks

You need the entire fund back in October 2022? If the amount involved is not substantial then it doesn't worth it at all, just leave the money in your savings account.

The rate is really low across the board and the difference, in terms of rate, is really negligible but you can go for any of STANBIC or ARM.
