Bills must be paid, money must be made, the home must be kept, children must eat, all this and many more are some of the hard truth that is making moral decadence to be on the high side because parents no longer have time to raise up children with sound values Let's just hope for wisdom to be able to balance our finances and home |

pansophist:Can a leader do what the followers/people/youths don’t want, and remain their leader? How is this possible in the long run for people who are meaningfully engaged in their different communities? |

Maverick777:If God made us all in His own image, according to the two imported Abrahamic creation stories, but we are physically different, does it not mean we all have the same wisdom as Him who created us all, irrespective of race? Is the equality of wisdom not demonstrated in academic pursuits of blacks in Europe, Americas, Asia and the Middle East? So God has granted us all the wisdom we need. It is up to us how we use it & what we use it for. |

The blame on is on all leaders of the country. If things were working properly in the country, the youths will have a positive mindset to life. A situation were most of their parents are struggling financially and are mostly disrespected in their homes because they can't provide fully for their families. Until Nigerians vote in sane humans and not thugs and those who have attributes of a cartel, nothing will change. |

OP so what do you want us to do,? |
| Re: Any Hope For The Next Generation? by blaquebelle: 1:59am On Jun 18, 2022 |
Go and have a rethink. Check the so-called developed countries where things are working properly like you mentioned. You will realise that they have the lowest morality rate. Especially because they have no problems and so they have more time on their hands to wake up and do crazy things out of boredom and freedom. 9japride: |

9japride:If we the people vote and/or otherwise allow thugs to be our leaders, then why is our collective rottenness the fault of the leaders only? I don’t understand please. |

Absolute truth. Do we even know what is wrong with us? |
| Re: Any Hope For The Next Generation? by 9japride(m): 8:37am On Jun 18, 2022 |
anonimi: Since the beginning of the country, the leaders both military and democratic are both responsible for the rot in Nigeria presently. If they had ensure that the environment was conducive for businesses, a lot of youths won't be restless. Go to Europe and see how their government are keeping the youths in check by creating a good environment. That's not to say they are all good over there, they have a lot of psychos but their system works well because their leaders are not too self centered and thuggish. The masses will always follow the direction of their leaders. |

blaquebelle: But it's still better than the youths over here who are very desperate to escape poverty which leads them to engage in illicit acts with extreme proportion. |

Oga where did you get this statistics from? I was born in the 2000s and I'm very respectful and iI dey greet my elders oo. I am not too good at calculations like that, that doesn't mean i get low IQ na |
| Re: Any Hope For The Next Generation? by Fmghewzy(m): 3:10pm On Jun 18, 2022 |
Maverick777:Mr principled man please keep your rubbish principles to yourself. We live in a more civilized world , everyone is seeing to the true meaning of freedom. Of all the things you mentioned, you only have a point on morals. On IQ dropping and intelligence dropping , that's in an absolutely wrong conclusion. This generation has produced some of best minds in history.(Keep you self updated so you don't spill trash ) And more importantly don't judge everyone based on your religious beliefs. Not everyone is religious ,so you don't use your stupid standards to measure everyone. |

blaquebelle:If you're a parent, please govern your house/kids very well, provide all they need, so they don't have to take up the mantle at a young age(thereby exposing them to all kinds of crime). if you're a youth, please do what is right and not what is TRENDING! Thank you. |
| Re: Any Hope For The Next Generation? by Maverick777(op): 9:59am On Jun 20, 2022 |
9japride:Not a valid enough excuse. I'm part of the said youth in question, and in my time, things were not so rosy as well. I scaled through life even when I could've chosen the easy way out. |

cavreek:Then why not have a certain level of financial capability/security before rushing into marriage? Why the rush anyways?? If you can't breed responsible kids, isn't the purpose of marriage half-defeated at the end of the day? |
| Re: Any Hope For The Next Generation? by 9japride(m): 2:06am On Jun 22, 2022 |
Maverick777: Good for you, not everyone that might have gotten the opportunities you had. The street is very tough and anti productive which to me is deliberately done especially by this present government to frustrate the youths. Until you realize that political policies have a way of influencing the standard of living, the better for you. A messed up environment, is a breeding ground for cultism, thuggery, prostitution, corruption etc. The funny thing about life in the country, people who you think are highly respected or religious are most times into one shady deal or the other. The mindset of majority of people are already messed up and it will take years for it to change. People are just wicked and criminally minded these days. Until we elect credible leaders, things will get worse. |

you failed when you mentioned that age(1997) to downwards.everything a kid does he or she learnt it from the elders either reality or entertainment (movies and song videos). all this started from the elders who failed in morals and discipline and now it pours down to youth and teenagers coming up.pornography started 50 years ago, vogular and violent language started wayback we can imagine, you blaming the youths is very bad because some of the elders are the ones who introduced the youths to this lifestyles. some years ago I remember seeing a gal of 15-17 years standing in a junction with a guy of 23-27 years discussing whatever they like.tomorrow if you approach her she tells you "that you are not her level" because of the older guys she's now rolling with.. boys at the age of 17-20 years will go to bunks and sit comfortably to smoke cigarettes, weeds with elderly men ranging 25-30 upwards and instead of the elders to caution and chase them away they rather hail them(guyman).. the elders has failed and they fail more pushing the blames on the young ones... peace |

9japride:Guy, it is highly irresponsible to always look for an excuse in life in life situations... Are you saying there are no positive or legitimate ways to make money because of bad government? I don't want to tell you what I did to make my first million... Trust me, your excuse is highly irresponsible and is the reason the youths have degenerated to this level! |

Maverick777: I am just being real. When a human being is pushed to the wall he/she eventually turns to a wild beast. I sympathies with those who can't find any means of survival. Hope you won't vote for wicked leaders who lacks empathy in the next coming elections? |
