He said, “Ekiti people have chosen the leader they want by collecting money to vote and they should not complain of lacking basic and social amenities in the future. The problem Ekiti has now is that the people are poor and that was why they could buy their conscience. That was what All Progressives Congress used in gaining the heart of many people.

“More worrisome is the fact that the people do not want a solution to the problem of poverty. That was why even when we came with an agenda to address the poverty confronting them, they still expected us to buy their votes before we could help them. If he is humane about the feelings of the poor he wouldn't have joined politics and remain a philanthropist by using little part of his resources to uplift few from poverty. There are philanthropists who did not join politics and use their money to help the poor. He was just ranting because he was heartbroken after losing some money in the course of electioneering and not because he was sympathetic to the feelings of the people. Otherwise he will stay in politics and wait for the right time and party to win and do what any governor has not done in Nigeria. A politician who has the feelings of the people at heart will not complain of losing money after losing rather he will keep it up until he wins and help the people he claimed to love. When you claim to love someone you should be able to do anything I repeat anything to make such a person comfortable or prevent the person from being harmed.

We are from the same Atiba/Aafin ward in Ikere Ekiti. Dr. Oluyede is brilliant but has a very poor character. As at last 2 years ago he was in APC, in fact, he contested primaries against fayemi in 2018. He was a very close friend of fayemi even after primaries of 2018.
He lies too much, people began to detest him when they realised that is he's not trustworthy. People don't like him again, his 2018 political base abandoned him because he lied and neglected them after the primaries.
