Sadio Mane’s Senegal are going to shock the world in Qatar 2022.
Similar to what Senegal did in 2002 World Cup

Hopefully they’d get to the semis
I’m rooting for them.
Take a look at their group two decades ago
Senegal scales through a group that had Denmark, Uruguay & France wow
Denmark is a very organized country with technically gifted players
If Nigeria ever plays Denmark we always get trashed

Mané says his dream is to win the World Cup with Senegal.
Looking at their players, do you think this is an achievable feat
Who would score for Senegal? Most of their goals come from penalties! VAR won't give any fake penalties. The only good team they have played in the last 5 months is Egypt yet had to rely on penalties. Mark out Mane and their attack is useless. Senegal can't go beyond first round. Cameroon is better all round!

The ban was one of the most foolish decisions Sunday Dare took. Had the ban not been lifted it would have set back Nigerian basketball at least a decade. However, the girls didn't "execute" the qualifiers on their own, the ministry funded the trip. Dare boycotted the NBBF and reached the girls directly hence the haphazard way the girls turned up. The coach wasn't even sure he was supposed to be there has they were owning him (they still do).

Both Dare and Kida are the same... Dare is acting power drunk, while Kida is just incompetent, having been in the NBBF since 1995 as a board member... They both should get out..

I dunno how FIBA rule work, but I remember that prior to the start of the AFCON qualifiers, Mauritius were chosen to replace Sao Tome and Principe after the later were banned for fielding an ineligible player.. Apparently,Sao Tome appealed the decision and they were reinstated for the qualifier, so maybe it isn't too late for FIBA to accept us back ,since the tournament is about 3 months away... The girls deserve to be there...

Nigeria’s perfect win record in the opening stages of the Afcon qualifiers did not push the three-time African champions up the global ranking

FIFA, the world’s top football governing body, has released its ranking for June with the Super Eagles now ranked fourth on the continent and 31st on the planet.

We lost two matches within the same timeframe so we're lucky we didnt drop.

I think Awo has always wanted to play in England... If not for his inability to secure a work permit,he would have joined a championship club on loan while still at Liverpool...
Yes cos his family reside in UK.

Bascovanveli, do u have highlights of Kano Pillars vs Dakkada game played this evening?
I read from the match report that Dakkada sckred a last minute goal which was cancelled after the referee "consulted" with his linesmen..
It seems like the powers that be don't want Pillars to be relegated... Ever since they were banned from Sani Abacha stadium, their true colour has been displayed for all to see......

You can verify this from the girls themselves. The ministry funded that trip. Not sure if the timing of the payment but the ministry did fund the qualifiers in Serbia. They also funded the qualifiers for the guys too. Even though they boycotted Kida, it wouldn't have been possible for any of the team to play if Kida didn't give a go ahead. FIBA still had to confirm from Kida and he accented hence both teams played.

The ministry then went ahead to organize the super 8 for the men's league in Abuja without the NBBF. Rivers Hopers won and were supposed to represent Nigeria in Rwanda. This time Kida wrote to FIBA that he wasn't aware of any competition and Rivers Hopers shouldn't represent Nigeria. Sadly Hopers were replaced with another team from Africa.

I think it was at this point Dare decided to hit Kida (the girls being collateral damage) where it hurt most. He pulled Nigeria out of international basketball and took total control or running basketball in Nigeria while not necessarily stoping the NBBF from doing their thing. It's more like " now you no longer have the team that gives you guys attention, let's see how you run".

Can't wait for either of them to leave

their ego had caused more harm than good

that guy na idiot. The ego and pride of this our 94 set too much even sometimes you will think they won both the afcon and World Cup at the same year

They are also one of the problems we have in our football circle that is denigrating the sport in Nigeria everyday

Olise was just an overhyped ndidi during his playing days and I will pick mikel ahead of him any day and any time

When it comes to footballing intelligence, elegance, charisma and finesse I will place jay jay,Kanu and mikel as the best we have ever produced as a nation
Honestly,Oliseh is one of the ex eagles i respected but what he said about Mikel piss me off....meaning Mourinho,Grant,Hiddinks,Accelloti are fools,no wonder he went to Germany régional league to coach, meaning Oliseh coaching eagles was a fraud even Keshi was ex Nigeria,Mali and Togo coach....am ready to take on anybody who would rate Oliseh a fourth division coach than NPFL division one coaches.....Kai ex eagles coach at 47 years of age now coaching regional team.

The highlights are not out yet but I am not surprised. I am sure even the Dakkada players were warned not to leave anything in the hands of the referee. This is the ugly part of the season. A lot of despicable things will be going on.

DRAMA in Kano:

Kano Pillars Chairman, Alhaji Surajo Yahaya Jambul (On White) PUNCHED the Assistant Referee after Dakkada FC scored a late equalizer.

The goal was later chalked off after the Center Referee consulted the AR that was punched
