People don't become criminals just because you hate them. No court of law has convicted Tinubu for any crime till date years after leaving government and being in opposition. Not even the vindictive obasanjo found anything on him. Ribadu has come out to say he investigated Tinubu several times at the background but found nothing against him. So stop crying. Tomek09:He has his reasons for not providing it. As long as Chicago university has confirmed that he graduated from their school. This is more than enough. Also, he went to an equivalent of high school (dale) in USA before proceeding to Chicago university. All these are more than enough. Far better than the primary 6 you're requesting from him. |

GreyLaw:Who be una? You no follow get am? Perjury is a criminal offence that must be proven without reasonable doubts. The Police originally, should be in forefront in this case but for reasons you and I know, they wouldn't bother. This case was instituted by the late Gani in 2002, it was allegedly discovered that all information therein never existed. The Police refused to act because he had immunity. When he left Office, they still did nothing so I am not saying anyone cannot go to Court but it could take months or years unless it is election-related. Election cases are time-bound and it will be dealt with ASAP. This is the thing. People should follow up processes. When the NASS starts trying to amend the laws, we stand aloof and do nothing, then they scatter everything we start complaining. The former one was better, I did like it....but everyone looked the other way, and they surreptitiously repealed it. The old Electoral 2010: Section 31(5) states; A person who has reasonable grounds to believe that any information given by a candidate in the affidavit or any document submitted by that candidate is false may file a suit at the High Court of a State or Federal High Court against such person seeking a declaration that the information contained in the affidavit is false. The new Electoral Act: Section 29(5): "Any aspirant who participated in the primaries of his political party who has reasonable grounds to believe that any information given by a candidate in the affidavit or any document submitted by that candidate in relation to his constitutional requirements to contest the election is false may file a suit at the Federal High Court against the Candidate seeking a declaration that the information contained in the affidavit is false." |
