PhD admission and scholarship depend on a number of factors. Obviously, having quality publications oil the wheels

Indonesian Journal of Agricultural Research: might or might not be. Doesn't appear outrightly so. If not, one expect them to make a push for Scopus now that they are at 5th volume.
What is obvious though is that they are low impact. You may want to consider Journal of Agricultural Research (ISSN 0021-8596) which is relatively moderate
Sciendo (self-existing subsidiary of De Gruyter) has different journals. Typically non-predatory nor mainstream. You'll need to check the exact journal.

strangest:
Please can anyone confirm if this two journals are good or predatory.. Thank you
1. Indonesian Journal of Agricultural Research (InJAR)
2. Sciend
And is it possible to get a PhD scholarship with two articles in the above journals

On face value, 10 Scopus, 3 SSCI/IBSS doesn't look too bad for postdocs, generally speaking.
A research concept or aligning with one, might be the differentiator.

Regarding papers, the higher you go, the more the 'impact' counts, beyond the listing; obviously outright predatory are out of the eqn.
I then to look at journal info in Scimago. You can also compliment with Clarivate JCR.

For biz, ABS AJG (UK and globally) or ABDC (Pacific) should be reference points.
PS: your Small business and Strategy tilts towards biz.
If you list your SSCI/IBSS and Scopus, we might be able to feedback (you can just list the journals without the citations)
Thanks for your response. One way to know a quality journal is their indexing that was why I made mention of them. I didn’t make mention of citations, else you would have seen my SCOPUS author ID, Web of Science and even Google scholars. Just provide feedback I will appreciate. Thanks

Please, gurus in the house, I need help with this. I'm applying for PhD program.

---
Give a short summary (15-20 words) of your research interests.

Provide a brief reflection indicating possible research interests. This reflection should start with a summary of your interests in less than 20 words. (350-500 words)
---

Please, can someone use any research interests to give me a practical example?

Thanks.

The focus of this thread is to discuss with fellow PHD students, intending PHD students and PHD holders.

This is to highlight the requirements, approach, dynamics, challenges and share knowledge.

It's good to know the joys and the pains you are currently facing.

Talking about challenges, i would say there are some specific challenges that PhD students face
Isolation
one of the most common problems for PhD students is the feeling of isolation. PhD candidates often work alone, having few or sometimes no other people on their project.
Conflict with your supervisor
Another common problem can be issues arising between PhD students and their supervisors. Supervisors are part-boss, part-mentor, and occasional friend. It's an odd combination, the balance of which sometimes can be hard to maintain.
Time management
So much to do, so little time to do it!
Funding issues
Most PhD students rely on external funding to support themselves while studying. Unfortunately, this too can be a source of concern.

3.5 is the requirement for PhD.

Chibuking81:

3.5 is the requirement for PhD.

For some schools, it's 4.0/5.0 Unilag for instance. Op needs to do some findings about schools especially in the north and some S.E, S.S schools that admit with 3.5 or do MPhil first in schools with 4.0 requirement
Re: Thread For PHD Students by semmyk(m): 10:28am On Jul 23, 2022
For a traditional PhD, the overriding factor ordinary ought to be research prowess/capability. Not so much of 'pass Mark's, though they should contribute.
Well, this is open for discourse!

It seems your search criteria is too loose. You may want to ringfence the environment, condition
- which environment are you interested in
- what operating condition is of interest
- What bacteria or bacteria grouping
- which slime or slime grouping

Inbtw, you may want to check the following out of many from GS
Hino, S., Watanabe, K., & Takahashi, N. (1997). Isolation and characterization of slime-producing bacteria capable of utilizing petroleum hydrocarbons as a sole carbon source. Journal of fermentation and Bioengineering, 84(6), 528-531.
https://doi.org/10.1016/S0922-338X(97)81906-X

Lyhs, U., Koort, J. M., Lundström, H. S., & Björkroth, K. J. (2004). Leuconostoc gelidum and Leuconostoc gasicomitatum strains dominated the lactic acid bacterium population associated with strong slime formation in an acetic-acid herring preserve. International journal of food microbiology, 90(2), 207-218.

Anju, M., & Vijayan, K. (2021). Comparison of antimicrobial properties of the slime of invasive alien pest Lissachatina fulica and an indigenous pest Cryptozona bistrialis snails. Crop Research, 56(5), 159-164.
NB : not so sure of (impact) quality and access to this journal

Wao, Thanks a lot for your response.
Very apt.

I need to make more enquires from subject matter experts like you.
Sir, do you mind if I have your digits? You on WhatsApp??
Re: Thread For PHD Students by semmyk(m): 7:37am On Aug 18, 2022
I'm no longer on WhatsApp. I port to Telegram. However, I remain private yet accessible/ available on NL (LinkedIn).
I'm not a subject matter in Agric, biotechnology, life sciences et al. I'm way off tangent in another discipline (though I engage multidisciplinary wise). Nonetheless, I might be able to assist from research principles, research methodology and methods viewpoint.

Celebrating women scientists in the developing world

Their research is changing the world we live in, and they come from developing countries all around the world. The OWSD-Elsevier Foundation Award for Early Career Women Scientists in the Developing World was given to them.

Every industrialized country has taken advantage of research output to maximize its potential. Nowadays, education without research is pointless. Educative research produces great goods, solutions to society problems, and money. That is why the west is progressing and achieving higher standards.

Do you have a passion for scholarly research? More African females are encouraged to investigate this.

Hello sir,
Please I need your assistance prof. (wip7).
I am a PhD candidate and I am required to write a proposal. I have downloaded some journals but haven't been able to progress.
Thank you.
