Yes, you can gain admission in Canada with O'level

Thank you very very much for this, what about my age consideration? Am 29. Hope it won't affect anything.

Your age doesn't restrict you in as much as you have a work experience. Gaining admission and visa application will not be a problem.

Your work experience will allow you prove that you need higher education to function better in what you do. This is a Career Progression.

Also, your proposed course should be related to what you are doing: if you are into business, you may want to go for a business course.

It seems there isn’t a direct flight, you can check out prices for KLM, Air France and Air Canada. I too would be coming to Winnipeg when I get my PPR. We are going to same university of Manitoba. All the best.
Amen and thank you

You can apply with your spouse and kids, and most of the information you noted is correct.
You are not required to pay half of the tuition fee if it is not a condition for your admission. Having said that, paying half of your tuition will boost your chances of getting your application approved, as it speaks volumes of your financial capacity and intention to study.

Although spouse and kids are strong home ties when you apply alone, if you have other ties like landed property, business etc., you can apply with them and still get the application approved.

Landed properties make your application stronger in terms of ties and finance

2 yrs is better because you will get 3 yrs. of PGWP after completing your studies. This gives you the time to get the required work experience and apply for PR. However, you can still get your PR with a one-year program mainly if you apply to provinces with a provincial nominee program for students that studied in that province.

The funds you need depend on the family size, tuition fee and sponsorship method. If you have a sponsor, you must have a one-year tuition fee and $10K, $4K, and $3K living expenses for you, your spouse, and each additional member, respectively.

Note: providing minimum funds is not enough. You must have much more than that.

I can help you secure admission if you need assistance.

@bullstriker I can't reach you via email.
once you see this, respond to me lets talk.

Hello house..got PPR yesterday..Family application. Study visa for me, VV for my baby, but my husband’s PPR (SOWP) hasn’t dropped. Was hoping it would drop later in the day so that I would give our testimony at ones, not until I checked his profile and his medicals is not updated yet. IOM promised to send our medical sheets via email, but I didn’t receive any.(so that I can send my husband’s own via webform) How do I go about this plz.

First time applicant, did everything myself, no travel history for both of us.

Submitted: April 26
Biometrics done and updated: May 11
Medical request for 3 of us: June 14
Medicals done at IOM Abuja: June 27
Medicals updated (me and our child): June 28
BVL: June 30
PPR: July 1st

Would send our documentation later.

Thank you all for your well wishes.

By the way, I am a Notary Public and have decided to give back to this community. One of the things I thought of doing is to notarize and certify documents (affidavits, declarations, letters of sponsorship, letters generally, deeds of gift, deeds generally, instruments, certificates generally any other documents) for members at a discounted rate (Nairaland rate).

Kindly contact me if you are interested.

It shall end in praise for us all.

Can you drop your contact details please? Thanks

Congratulations

Can someone receive Medical request without eligibility showing it has started on gckey portal?

It’s been about 11 weeks after biometric:

Eligibility status hasn’t started yet.

Background check has been processing ever since then.

Last Update was Biometric Completed on April 20th. No change on my account till date.

How long does it take to process background check and for Eligibility review to start or the progress status on gckey portal doesn’t accurately indicate the status of one’s application?

I graduated from the department of Computer Science with a 2:2
Same related field of study
But applying for a diploma doesn’t show progression, but rather a PGD does, but most of the courses relating to my field for PGD are usually a one year course or not even open for application for fall 2023
So I thought of applying for a Diploma programm in Network Administration which is a 2yr programm.
Do you think this is a good decision and won’t be a red flag to the VO when I’m looking to apply for Visa

It is possible.
For some people, they got PPR a day after eligibility started after a long wait.

If your profile is not being updated, it doesn't mean work is not going on in the background.

My fellow Uniben alumni, you can check Langara college. They offer Post degree diploma in data analytics (2 years).
I hope you have a soft copy of your transcript.

I checked our Langara
The tuition is quite on the high side for me.Main reason I’m looking at those colleges In the North Atlantic regions
I’m still checking if I’d be elegible for a PGD In universities .Main reason why I’m even considering going for a college is because of they base more on practicals and they offer you hands on experience in your field..
Honestly I’m just stuck now btwn either going for a Diploma or PGD with my BSC, Cause In cases like this ehnn,Na only God dey direct person .
I wouldn’t want to make any mistake In picking a program that’d leave the VO to ask questions i wouldn’t be able to defend

22nd Feb: Submitted my application (didn't do upfront medical. I had done my biometrics in an earlier application)
15th Apr: Issued medical request form on the portal
27th Apr: Did my medicals
14th May: Status changed to "passed medicals"
17th May: PPR

I finally got back my stamped passport yesterday.
However, I noticed the "issued at" indicated Nairobi shocked shocked although every other thing was accurate. I am aware they send the passports typically to Abuja to be stamped so I am surprised to see Nairobi instead of Abuja or Lagos. I applied in Nigeria I have never been to Nairobi

Is there anyone with a similar story
