Please I need your input and advise on this issue. MA is wife while the husband is the dependant. The husband has a child from a previous marriage but the woman is late before he remarried. The child information had been filled as a dependant child n 2011 when the man was applying for a visit visa. Now the wife of s going for masters and the husband and 3 kids from the present marriage will be joining as dependants.

My question is, since the child from the first marriage will not be travelling with them, does he needs to be included as a dependant child. If yes, is it in just the husband's application. Will the UKVI also have an issue with why the child travelling with them..

When dependents fill their application form it is independent of everyone else until the moment they add in details of parents etc.
in my opinion, your husband must fill his child’s name on his form as a dependent. It does not mean he is travelling with her. She is his child and that is all that matters. Also u mention she wont be travelling with you ppl so definitely she wont fill out a visa application as a child dependent linked to u.. so there’s nothing to worry about that.
Also IHS fees, visa fees etc are paid per head. The visa officer wont withold ur decision ur decision as a tier 4 applicant because of dependents.
For me o, if you and your husband are united in the answer, then both of u should decide if you want to also fill her details as a child dependent on yours since she is from your husband.
In all of the above, tier 4 visa is not decided on basis of how many dependents one is going with or not so it does not affect your visa application or the visa application of your husband or children.


In a nutshelll, filling her details on everyone’s form is not a basis for denial .. whether she is travelling or not.

Please,do you mean I only need to show Pof that the money is in the bank before i apply for cas or I need the money to be in the bank for 28 days and then apply for cas and hopefully I get the cas letter before the 30th day to apply for my visa

It should have been there for 28 days before you send to school. They want to be sure you have done all what the immigration needs you to do then they will issue your cas if the date is up to 28 days

People here have gone on to fill their niece’s, nephews, househelps and what have you nots to their application.. then it reached decision making time it was denied for the particular niece or nephew and the rest of the family was approved. It does not change anything.
Even those dependents that are truly dependents and have not been able to provide appropriate documents like court papers etc are denied but this is just the dependent. .. and not you or your husband. She does not jeopardize your application in any way.
ECO can not deny your application tht you have different dependents… that is not part of the point based system for accessing Tier 4 apps.

Upon my documents upload during my visa Application, I uploaded my CAS letter as *Evidence of Sponsor* after the upload and submission. I realized that it could mean a certificate from someone's sponsor like Parents, etc. Meanwhile I am self sponsored.

I hope it won't generate a problem for me I have already uploaded my POF in my account and other docs.

Ooh I get the issue now - Wife (MA) did not include step child in her own form section as dependent and husband wants to include child. This may not fly and MA may be required to confirm relationship with step child if included by husband.

As MA, husband's visa is tethered to hers - she can't fill 3 dependents and husband filling 4

As a dependant, the collection paper shows sponsor evidence documents submitted during assisted service. Pls hope it will not bring any problem?
Secondly, the MA collection paper did not show sponsor evidence documents but it was submitted, only that it was not show on MA collection paper. Hope it pose no problem as well?

Your CAS is also a sort of certificate of sponsor and since you are self-sponsoring and you ve uploaded your POF and other necessary document, put your mind at rest.
Little mix up here n there can always be overlooked as long as your document are genuine

Good day everyone in the house, I need some clarifications. My husband is the main applicant and we are family of 4.. planning to migrate thru the student route, South Wales has offered us unconditional offer and we have paid our deposit to the school. My question now is that the school sent us a CAS shield form to fill, so as to obtain CAS number. Should we declare in the form he's bringing his family along? And like how much should be in the financial statement to upload on the CAS form, if he's going to fill only him?
Another question is the money dat must be in the account to show the school before obtaining CAS also has to pass thru the 28days dat normally use for POF for Visa?. Tnx

I just finished doing my TB test at IOM Abuja and this was the result. No TB but x-ray was marked as abnormal. Should I be worried or am I good to go as far as the visa application is concerned?
