What I subtly predicted. People may not like this, but they are most likely looking at their next VP if that is the case.

Muslim Muslim ticket no go easy to fly oh

Both of them coming together would have seriously increased their chances but I understand the challenges with that part of which he has highlighted in the interview

The moment he steps down for PO, he's going to lose a lot of people who would have voted for him to another Nothern candidate. Same thing applies to Obi, If he steps down, voter apathy returns in the SE especially and generally among the youth.

The one who stands the most to gain in all of these is Tinubu cheesy

The election is going to be really close this time. I don't think the winner will win with more than a million votes.

Even if Kwakwanso and obi come together they will still be beaten blue black. Them go collect wotowoto.

Baba, honest conversation here.

If Tinubu wins the presidential election, which sector of the economy would you like to see him prioritize and address with urgency?

Economy itself, tackle hyperinflation, stabilize our fiscal and monetary policies and revert back to a single exchange rate.

Decentralize police to tackle insecurity better while the military continue onslaught against the terrorist.

Continue the infrastructural development of Buhari.

I'm one of the antagonists of Muslim-Muslim ticket, but I won't lie at this point it's looking likely it's possible and there's nothing we can do about it.

Of recent I've sampled opinion of people offline both the formal and informal sector it's looking like people don't really care like that ; they just want a presidential aspirant that can win votes in Tinubu and Àtiku.....they don't give a 4ck about the vice which actually favors Tinubu's team.

The medical doctors / healthcare practitioners on the thread, I have a question.

While u were in school, did u take a particular course that taught u about dealing with that feeling of seeing patients struggle for their lives to the point of death till they lose the battle? I mean seeing a random stranger u were probably chatting with few minutes ago while conducting Ur ward check ; Somone who was full of life and in high spirits a moment ago only for u to be called while the person is convusling and then give up the ghost.

How do u guys get by things like this often? Were u trained to deal with the PTSD that comes with some of those moments or u just a pat and learn to deal with it in Ur own way?

I like the idea of the economy and tackling inflation because that would have immediate effect on the lives/ pockets of average Nigerians and may also reduce some aspects of insecurity witnessed across the country. I don't expect the next president to solve all of Nigeria's problem but I would like to see some consistency in addressing whatever he prioritizes across board.

While a single exchange is great for stabilizing the naira and the economy because it is more predictable, it may not work if Nigeria has not addressed self sustaining economic factors like power generation and energy production and distribution that will keep the economy powered. We must also be able to boost our foreign reserve to sustain the single exchange rate system and that means the government will be buying the bulk of the foreign currency so they can peg the price.

Well appreciated.

I do agree that no President can solve the problem of the country at once, solving our issues is a marathon and not a sprint. It's going to take consistent quality leadership to breakthrough.

Once we make it possible that successive government dont abandon their predecessors projects and strive to have them completed, we will begin to see clear progress.

On stabilizing the naira and having a single forex exchange rate, its important because having multiple exchange rate and the way Emefiele is handling this forex restriction is also one of the major cause of the hyperinflation we are having. While I do understand the reason while they are restricting access to forex anyhow, we cannot put the cart before the horse. Until we become self sufficient on most of our basic needs, forex restriction won't work.

We also need to massively increase our revenue. We need creative thinkers who can think out of the box and formulate a plan to expand the economy and bring the informal sector fully integrated into the economy. And this is why I am supporting Tinubu.

I just hope whoever is going to be the president has other ideas of generating revenue other than Taxation, taxation and more taxation.

I'm saying this because I'm yet to see FG thinking about how to increase government's earnings other than imposing more tax on the people. Now we have them taxing almost everything in sight both in Lagos and at the federal Level. They tax recharge cards/phone calls, increase vat , drive PAYEE like mad and even tax traders through fees, rates and dues. Yet goverment earnings is not matching it's spendings.

I know a senior professional colleague who is a Vherubim and Seraphim church leader ( He took over the church his father founded after the latter's demise). I was surprised engaging him and he was campaiging for Tinubu. Tho he's a card carrying member of APC but still I can't but marvel that even in the face of a possible Muslim-Muslim ticket he still supports Tinubu's presidency 100%.

Imagine how that man will collobi his members to vote Tinubu using the influential position of a church leader.

Definitely it can't be all church leaders that may go against it.

But we all know most will go against it. Yes, most.

David Abioye told his member never to vote a Muslim Muslim ticket. In his words, "Are they trying to tell us there is no single Christian in the north that is competent and can bring equity?"

I would be shocked to see APC win. Nothing is impossible, but Tinubu has reduced his chance

Of course, If you follow Tinubu colloquium that he does on his birthday annually, he always give his advice on how things can be improved on.

There's one that Buhari was the Guest Honor of the day and Tinubu was talking about how to tackle and reduce corruption in the civil service. He practically told Buhari then that Efcc alone cannot eradicate corruption from the civil service until a credit system is made paramount instead of the cash and carry system we currently operate. A gave an example, A civil servant that has been working for say 6-10yrs, how does this civil servant buy a car or get a home? If he wants either, he will be required to pay cash for it, if his salary cannot fund it, he looks for way to game the system to get the cash to buy the car/house. But a credit system where civil servant can use their job/salary to get these things on credit while they pay installmently will help reduce corruption in the civil servant by a big stretch. Likewise mortgage for houses.

When they wanted to increase VAT to 7.5% also, in that year Colloquium, Tinubu pleaded with V.P Osibanjo and his team not to go ahead with the increase of VAT because it will reduce the purchasing power of the masses and further throw more into poverty. He rather suggested that the tax net be expanded to include those whose income are taxable but not currently paying taxes into the tax net, he even suggested luxury tax that target the elite. But what did Osinbajo did? They went ahead with the VAT increase anyways. I think that's when Tinubu stop disturbing himself with any advice if they are not going to consider it.

December 2021, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) approved the purchase of the mobile substations and transformers from Siemens (for an initial intervention). FG has made 15% down payment, and raised LC for the balance.

Delivery expected from Q3 2022.
