Boss, I must admit that I commend your disposition towards and continued emphasy on ensuring the car is carefully used and well kept even though it's not yours to own.
.....but sincerely there's no where anyone dropping one or two takes adviced that he rough handles the car. What they are all clamoring for is maximizing your time behind the wheels.

If you can meet your daily target between 5/6am-12pm, why not? Why should you remain on the road from 8am to 9pm driving from one hinterland to the other. It's only a matter of time before you burnout.

I was on rental for 10months, paying 35k back to back. So there's nothing anyone can tell me about working smart and keeping the owners car in good shape. I also make bold to say that I Have Never chased nor Won Bolt Bonus before. I don't care about that BS, it's designed to make you suffer.

I come in peace o. Glithronix it's all love from here bro. No shade cool

Especially Mercedes Benz, BMW etc, exception was given to Corolla 03-06 but was increased by almost double.

I spent 2.2m to clear 2011 E350 that I got for someone.
Something we clear with 1.2m over 2months ago.

They are right tho, most important thing is that you’re keeping up your end of the deal with your partner and making sure you’re also keeping something reasonable for yourself.

Some drivers get all the scopes and format, they will still default on chikini money of 25K weekly and start telling ngbatî ngbatî
At the bold - you got that right, sir. But as dem bosses no gbadun the way I operate, which I know they want me to increase my earnings, I will definitely work on that and improve.

From island to mainland empty??!!
When I'm not madgrin even if na so le 3h from phase1 to oworo thatbwill cover for my fuel I go carry.

Stop saying you blowing empty just to protect partners car... Shey na free him dey give you the motor ni? Abi e get where no get bad road for Lagos?? Haven't you been to alpha Beach road, baale street, or all those interlocking road in phase1 b4? Or don't you know those tiles does more damage to your shaft than the bad gallopy roads on the mainland?

You seems to be missing the point.. it’s not about your earning as you are not doing bad with your earning, it’s about working smart by reducing the amount of time you spend on the wheel blowing empty from one place to another, 3MB is about 15 to 20km and no smart driver will blow empty on it… from what you have stated earlier , you spend about 12hrs driving to gross your earning, think and work on ways to reducing your driving time to still get your normal earning … KEYNOTE from readadream “it’s only a matter of time before you burn out” …

I haven't driven a manual car in years and had to do that for the past two weeks. My legs suffered a lot.

So how do you cope especially with traffic?

There are definitely conditions like you've highlighted where it might be wiser to take a job than take a higher purchase, so you're right, where the job is available.
Also, my contention was actually the word slavery....it connotes way more than the hard work required to own a car via HP, which I won't consider as slavery. While driving might not be the ideal work experience to earn a better pay at another jo, it could serve as a springboard for funds for other business...

Come to think of it, a lot of the successful businesses out there were started by people with little or no education....or professional experience.

Note; I support getting educated, and I also work in a professional setting and aspire to probably relocate someday, but there are times I envy people who have the flexibility of running a business or doing something for themselves.

I totally agree with you 100%.
My term Slavery in HP was to snrman1 ,
Meaning he will be bound to HP contract (slave) for 3years if he should get a better job or quit he would loose money. But if it’s rental he will just drop car and leave.

Hp - slave 3yrs- freedom after full payment

I will use myself as an example... I started investing in uber from day 1 .... Than my cars were breaking down and I found out was due to wrong use of engine oil...

Than I started importing engine oil for personal use for my cars.. Than I was impressed how the engine oil did wonders. I said to myself I bet I can sell the engine oil to other car owners.. I started importing it in small cases .. Than from there the business grew and since than have not looked back. ......

My point is that uber was launching pad to my other business .. I plan on going into real estate soon.. The weak naira is the only obstacle now .........

So life na stage by stage

You still aren't getting the point. Your problem is not leaving early or earning low, your problem is your working strategy.

Take for example, I was at Ogunnusi road, Ojodu yesterday and was getting trips with pickup at Ikeja City Mall which is like 25 minutes from there. Even though they came on 1.7x surge, I canceled them all. In a short while, I got a trip with five minutes pickup going to Protea Hotel on a 1.5x. Protea is opposite ICM which means that I was able to benefit from the surge in ICM without driving empty to that place. That trip gave me 1900 which I would have lost driving empty there to pick the riders.

It's not about the gross alone, the fuel and time spent matters. I don't leave my house until it's 9am and I must gross at least 25k with or without bonus.

On this same thread...someone made payment without picking car, another made payment without having a contract. Trust me, many people will fall for d scam of making payment first and hoping to come and pick the car on a different date.
Or it could be a bad car that has been packaged, when u start driving it, u will not be able to meet up because of repairs, then when u default they will come and collect the car from u and u lose your down payment.
All na still scam to lure u in.
