The minimum requirement for met police/police Scotland is indefinite leave to remain. Not necessarily British passport.

You’re probably working with outdated information.

You need to keep up with recent developments.
Erm remind us again Plz I made mention of loads of roles in my reply
so in all you agree the rest was right but the Policing bet was wrong, I have checked that bit and its true this had been reviewed after brexit I think. But for the rest I recon I was right,My point in all this is simple, for one to get the right to apply for all them roles in England they might have lived here up to 3 or 5 years so there would be no need for police report from Nigeria if that makes any sense!

Bros, Your ‘problem’ is that you have been in the UK for too long (according to your previous post). Un(fortunately), there are people coming n this forum who have been here longer than you.

Secondly, some may be too ‘polite’ to tell you, but I will say it as it is: Your responses to people on this thread is outrightly rude. You have a very rude way of responding to people. That is unbecoming of a Band 8c professional. I think you need to introspect.

You may have been In the UK since 2000, but you don’t know everything and anything. Even Google doesn’t know everything.

I have tried to tolerate your rudeness (to others). And now you are responding very rudely to me.

I repeat, you may know a lot, but you don’t know everything. Humble yourself, come off your high horse, and learn.

Thank you very much.
Yours sincerely,
Me ( and a lot of others on this thread that you have been rude to).
I'm struggling to understand how I was rude in my statement upstairs, I only just made a statement of fact that all them roles you mentioned do not need police report from Nigeria simply put and that all that was misinformation and someone might just waste their time and money applying for one in them roles you quoted and you recon I was rude Oh plzzzz

Dear Recruitment Administrator,

I am writing in reference to Ruth Ameachi and her job application. I have known Ruth for 12 months as her manager. She is one person I can rely on to do her work diligently. She is a people person, and she will be a positive addition to your company. I found her to be self-motivated, and punctual, and all our clients that she has worked with talk about the extra mile she goes beyond her call of duty.

We will miss her, but we are certain she will do herself and us proud in any organisation she finds herself. We wish her well and hope she will one day come to visit.

If you require any other additional information, please feel free to contact me on my direct phone number which is on this letter.

The bolded is either incorrect or outdated information
You can get your SIA badge even if you’re under 6 months in the UK.

Criminal record
You need to pass our criminal record checks.

If you live outside the UK, or you have spent 6 continuous months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, you need to provide evidence of overseas criminal record checks.

Plz have a reread of what you posted again mayB I'm the one not comprehending right, the minimum requirement is 5 years and if within that 5 years there is any gap up to 6 months you must provide proof, I don't thin this means you can get it within 6 months of arriving in the UK fresh!
PS I think I have to re read and adjust all what I post so as not to come across rude as I have been told on here which by the way is not a true reflection of my post, all I post is for information purpose only.

Good evening all,

I just had my son in Canada, the mum is PR holder there and the son is entitled to a Canadian passport but we hold a work visa here in the UK.
Can my son come with the Canada passport and convert to the work visa when he arrives or needs to apply from Canada? Thanks for the answers

No need for back and forth.

One thing you should know right now is that SECURITY INDUSTRY AUTHORITY via GOV.UK is handing out badges to people with less than 3 - 6 months stay in the UK provided you have all the required documents (NPF police character certificate inclusive).

Guys please help....

Please I need pointers on splitting utility bills.

We got a 5 bedroom student accommodation and the bills Uniacco is quoting is high....£23 per person per week.

We have decided to do it ourselves at least for the first 2 months and see if it's cheaper. If not, we'll go ahead and use Uniacco.

My questions are...

1) How do we go about splitting the bills..electric bills really cos some would have extra appliances like TV, Fridge in their rooms while others won't.

2) If after 2 months of doing it ourselves, it turns out that we're paying higher or same and want to go back to Uniacco, can we do that easily?

3) What energy providers are best to work with for cheaper rate?

4) Per adventure, we decide not to do it ourselves, are there other companies like Uniacco that offer cheaper rates?

Thanks alot for all your inputs

Please gurus in the house and students who have faced this should please helpppp

This is tricky, permit me to brainstorm with you cheesy

Canada passport can spend up to 6 months visa free in the UK.

But can’t switch to skilled visa on visit visa.

Unless there’s an “exception” rule you’ll most likely need to apply outside the uk. With these home office delays, you’ll probably spend another 1 month plus waiting for visa.

I quite agree with Boris. You do tend to come across as quite rude and crass. And more often than not, you are wrong.

I was shocked to learn that you were Band 8. I would have guessed band 1. Sorry to be blunt but this needed to be said.

International license (which is valid for one year) is required if the person wants to drive on arrival to the Uk. The normal naija license is not allowed/recognised.

The normal Naija licence is allowed and recognised. You can use it for a year

Don't just throw the towel in just because people think you are wrong, some of the things you said about SIA licence is actually true though your method of delivery it can tick people off.

SIA badges requires you to have 3 years in the Uk and b4 one has right to do security job and your vetting for security officer is 3 years that for door man is 5 years and for you to do these jobs you must have the rights to work which takes more than 5 years so where is the need for 9ja vetting?

With ALL humility, oga Justwise EVERYTHING Erico said about SIA here is untrue in 2022 Britain. The only semblance of truth is the bit where is says to do the work, you must have right to work however, he invalidated that little truth by saying the right to work takes more than 5 years. Surely that isn't accurate, is it?

If you have not lived in the UK for 5yrs you can still get SIA BUT you have to get criminal record from Nigeria. When i applied for SIA as a student i was only 2yrs old here, so i have to get criminal record from Nigeria. That was why i said that he is right in some things he said.
