It's so saddening that our beloved country Nigeria is becoming a bedrock of insecurities. Women are becoming endangered species and even men are not safe. Ritualists, organ traffickers, psychopaths, terrorists, Political thugs and more are now becoming part of the norms of our society.

In my opinion, out of 100 people we meet in a day, there's tendencies that 1 might habour a killer intent against us. May God continue to guide and safe us


Here are some safety tips that might come in handy when you are meeting with a suspicious person.

1. For Ladies: Always wear trousers when you're meeting any opposite sex behind closed doors for the first time. Reason is that in case of rape, unclothing you will not be easy and this might help you stale time.

2. For Ladies: In the absent of mutual trust when meeting an opposite sex, always meet in an outdoor setting. Set a date and talk over a drink.

3. Always send your locations via WhatsApp to 2 or 3 people.

4. Send distress messages to people telling them where you are going and when you ought to be back. Ask them to call you when you're not back at the intended time.

5. Don't take a lift from strangers. I know a lot of love stories started with " He gave me a lift and now we're married". Nigeria has gone haywire now.... Things are not the same now

6. In a situation you have no choice but to take the lift, always try and send a picture of the car licence number to a trusted person.

7. In case you're an online trader and you are wondering the right place to discuss price with your customer who want to see you face to face. Suggest the nearest Police station.

8. Be aware of your surroundings, note things that can be use to defend yourself and routes that can serve as an emergency exit.

9. Are you with that guy that you met on Facebook and you're not comfortable with him somehow?. Take your phone, make a call, put it on speaker, tell the person where you are in details, who you are with, mention his name and send a picture of the room. All this while he's listening.... Even if he plans to kill you, he'll think twice.

10. Everything you're wearing is a weapon. I'm not planning to die untimely so anyone who might try to kill me will have a tough time. Your bag strap, your bra strap, your heels, your panties can strangulate a human if the right amount of strength is involve. Don't let anyone kill you like a chicken.

Op... people have been posting safety tips for decades now and it doesn't help, especially our Nigerian girls that will lose their thinking cap the moment you tell them on phone that you will spend your money on them and treat them like a queen.... Then proceed to promise them a trip to US or UK or any European countries....


Nobody will be able to redeem them from that... You do t even need to use charms.... They're that common....


And I often pray that the government make hasty solution to end the rituals and cultism activities that is wasting the lives of the you get generation....

Because this is heading to normalcy.... People will tell you how they see deadbodies in the street of Lagos? And it's becoming a normal thing?
